Prefer it to what? The Hasbro version is the only one we've seen yet.

Did we lose the hip cannons? Cause, it doesn't seem too hard to add to a figure (foldable cannons)...

I get this guy is more poseable, but losing some of the big weapons makes the original actually considerable over this... which is really sad.

A lot of you guys are saying 3P (and I agree), but what kind of "get-out-of-jail-free" card are we giving Hasbro nowadays? "Go ahead and make a sh*tty, half-arsed product - we'll spend extra on unofficial corrections! <3"

I like this for being affordable, big, and a city-bot. But I wish a little more effort went into him... that "city" mode is embarrassing.

 

Notice that Cerebros suffers from Construct-a-Bot hand Syndrome

That's not a very Maximus fortress mode. It's actually kinda sad. However, the ship mood isn't too terrible, and the robot mode is pretty good.

I really think I'll be skipping this. His base-mode is just so half-arsed and his battle station mode is ridiculously lacking in cannons.

 

Liking a lot, but will wait and see takara's First.

 

If those legs can't form towers like the original then I am just going to spend my money on the encore G1 FortMax. It at least looks like a proper Autobot city.

 

have we seen a Cerebros shot yet?...I mean, by himself, transformed into bot mode?...If not, these slow release of reveals are like bad trailers..."eventually showing us that Spiderman is in the movie too!"...umm we knew that...

I agree with that too. I was hoping the legs fold up into the towers as well. If you want to spend the funds. The Encore Fort Max is an awesome figure.

 

What will the difference be between this and the Takara import version?

 

Nobody knows for sure since the takara version hasn't been revealed. From what I can tell it will likely be the paint color and the sword.

 

My personal hope is also a new Fortress accurate headsculpt which MAY happen since TT has been doing altered heads thus far.
