This model doesn't transform.
it's Disgusting every time a transformers has Female features as long as it's not Blackarachnia everyone freaks out but Blackarachnia can have qll of the features because logic but Windblade and Arcee can't
And I'm sold
I don’t really want to be part of this conversation, but I have to address this:
The only woman I’ve listened to is my girlfriend, and she said the model looked “cute.” When I told her people were outraged over the “sexualization” she said something to the effect of “so this is bad but those comic book statues aren’t?”
Women aren’t a hive mind, they don’t share a singular opinion. They can choose to feel degraded by a model kit, or they can not. It’s really that simple. My girlfriend, for instance, gets more upset by men deciding what she should and should not be offended by than the things that supposedly offend her.
EDIT: and to be clear, I’m not saying women aren’t allowed to be offended, but that just because some are nobody else has to be. The model doesn’t depict any truly reprehensible things, ergo it’s up to opinion on whether you think it’s really that bad.
EDUT2: I’m very tired so spelling sucks.
I might have sussed that out, I just meant why do the stylized hair tufts look sharper and more dynamic here than on the MP Lio?
HA! end of discussion i couldn't agree with Her more
Yeah these SJW people are killing me. Also the same crowd that threw a fit over “Nicee” Arcee that coincidentally has a similar style to this.
I'll be honest, I was always a little interested in the Flametoys models, but the Windblade looks really good to me, and I kinda want to get that. And this is from a guy who didn't particularly for when they first revealed Windblade as a character (mostly because I'm slightly offput by the robo geisha thing).
I'll just leave this here
I'm a slut for robots.
The same discussion happened in the Blackarachnia (and every other female transformer for that matter) thread. The difference is that Blackarachnia is accurate to the tv show.
And? This is supposed to be a new take on the Character i personally love the look
As do I.
So I showed the windblade figure to a close female friend of mine and she fell in love with it, she thought it "looked nice and cool" xd. Anyways I tried doing my own digibash of her.
The best digi to date. My phone's new wallpaper.
Conversations like this make me think of my FB last week
Shaaaaaame on you!
I think this mostly highlights that she does look like a 'naked' Windblade. Like she's missing her boots and they swapped out her usual waist piece with one of those pasties that only just barely cover things. Chest too a bit but it's not that far off from how she looked in some of her other appearances I guess.
All three looks nice, but I hope Wingblade has a jetwing attachment option on her back instead of those tiny circle thingys
The same company that produces hyper-stylized male Transformers with large chests, toned abs/waists, and bulging crotches makes a female counterpart in the same manner. Why are some up in arms about this again? If anything, this is keeping it consistent with the rest of the line. Like, it'd be weird if it didn't look like this. Sure, I don't expect this design to work well with Cyberverse or anything like that, but it looks fine in this context.
