sorry, when I say upside down, I mean compared to how the character is usually modeled with the BACK of the car being the top of the chest, leaving a smaller window there (and having the spoiled on Cliffjumper) I really, truly dislike the way the chests look on these 2 with the front window at the top and the back window cut off at the bottom, makes them look unfinished (and 1/3... maybe closer to 1/2 on BB... of the alt mode being tossed aside doesn't help that unfinished look and feel.)

yeah, and they've been using that same look on the promotional art too (which I think is part of why some of us thought it'd be a totally different transformation scheme... more traditional... then Cliffjumper.) in fact, pretty sure on that promotional art, his bicep area isn't round like Cliffjumper's, which made me wonder why CJ was going to have BB arms but BB wasn't  

 

When I pre-ordered the first spoiler box I was excited thinking ultra Magnus was gonna have a cool cape like in the trailer, I want you to see it’s just more damage that makes him look worse than his original version, so I canceled his mechanical ass

and I’ll do the same if this second one is disappointing too, if it’s shockwave with onyx prime armor then dope, if it’s shockwave with normal armor and damage, canceled, if it’s a train canceled, if it’s galaxy prime, canceled, if it’s a earthrise Nemesis Hype, if it’s a galaxy nemesis that’s been retooled, maybe keep

Just because they did things this way for 30 yrs does not mean they can't improve a flawed system.

Hasbro can alter production numbers, schedules, and even have orders cancelled on them.

A pre-order should gauge interest and adjust production accordingly. You can be right in your explanation, yet still miss the mark. Savvy?

Maybe it's bad decision-making when an exec "accidentally" shortpacks a toy... Or maybe it helps sell an entire wave of mediocre toys to fans. Maybe these sold out "due to unprecedented demand"... Or maybe selling out makes customers behave more competitively, even for a toy perceived as awful.

 

Is this their response to the negative feedback to MP-45? We don't like a crumpled up mess of a backpack, so just partsform the whole back panel? Because this is worse. In fact, this Bumblebee is visually indistinguishable from the original MP-21, with the sole difference being this deluxe is a partsformer.

Nah, it's not that complicated. They just gave up halfway when designing what could've been an honest-to-god great Cliffjumper and took the lazy way out, and rode that laziness with retooling it into partsformer Bumblebee.

I doubt it, you're giving them far too much credit. This is just utter laziness and they went the cheap route to make it happen. When Warden said it wouldn't be a retool of Cliffjumper, I and many others were given false hope, and we were wrong. It was absolutely a remold and it's just cheap and easy like a low-cost hooker when a shore leave ship hits port.

The partsforming isn't the only issue I take with the line, but I truly am more disappointed with this toyline than any other.

I bet I'm on quite a few ignore lists for not pulling any punches with my thoughts, but I don't mean any malice to the folks who like these toys. If someone doesn't mind partsforming, that's cool. But I won't hide how I feel about it.
