RodimusRex is the one who pointed that out.
I don't think it's a big deal. They don't have to make him shorter because the original toy was a little shorter.

Personally I think only Override if I remember correctly would be easy to retool from another bot.
The other two would need original molds to be accurate imo. But in this case I agree I'll take what I can get.

I'm surprised we haven't heard anything about Needlenose, Quake, Sureshot or Pointblank.
They are some core characters that were not really satisfying last time they got a toy and I'd love redoes for all of them.
Maybe Smokescreen is a pretool of Pointblank.

Fingers crossed we'll get the Targetmasters in WFC3.
It's just so disappointing if they're getting disregarded fot yet another character that got a toy recently.
We might see Needlenose next year at least.

If we do get a separate line for Beast Wars maybe we'll see the Deluxe Insecticons there.
    That would be great.

They'll get to them eventually. They are slowly remaking even the most obscure characters. Now, whether they'll be exclusives...that's to be seen.

On the plus side, after Hasbro makes "definitive" versions of the 84-86 cast it should free up a year or two for the good obscure characters.

Wow. Looks like after a very long run of the Impossible Toys Quint and Alicon in my classics shelf I'll finally get updates! That may be the longest wait for an update besides Cliffjumper.

I was thinking this when siege was in full swing and when we saw pictures of Earthrise Optimus, Starscream, Grapple and Hoist.

I thought: "This looks really great. This is what Hasbro should have done back when Generations started. Even with my undersized MP Optimus and trailer I might get this just because we finally have the definitive chug G1 Optimus and hopefully Hasbro will move on after this."

But now we might be getting new datsuns after they just got toys?

Well, if the 84, 85 and 86 cast really do get their definitive versions and Hasbro really does move on to produce equally definitive chug versions of the Deluxe Insecticons, Omnibots, Targetmasters, Headmasters, Powermasters, Actionmasters, Liokaiser, Motorvators, Turbomasters, Predators, Predacons, Maximals and UT originals it will have been worth it.

But just a year or two of focus on characters that should have gotten toys in this trilogy would be throwing crumbs.

I love it when you speak French to me.

Without knowing what our feline leaker saw, I am going to remain hopeful that Smokescreen is something other than an Earth mode Datsun, even if that is the most likely scenario. It's just so fucking needless. Wait to part III for all the redos.

I would like it if Arcee is Binaltech based and has an Overdrive retool.

@barry: Hasbro hasn’t announced how many waves the line is yet, but if we get a new wave released roughly every 3 months starting in March, that leaves room for at least 4 waves.

Crazy thought: What if Smokescreen is actually a dual blue Bluestreak/Alternators homage? His G1 color scheme is halfway there already. My only other guesses would be the Armada guy or a Prime Smokescreen.

I'm sure this has already been suggested, but what if that voyager Earthrise Megatron is his IDW stealth bomber incarnation? You know, so he can be retooled into the voyager G2 Dreadwing that everyone wants, to go with a G2 Smokescreen.

Also, I wouldn't worry about Needlenose. Hasbro clearly wants him to happen, given that they've had him as a fan-vote option TWICE. And I'm sure they're fully aware that Runamuck's narrow win was only the last second due to efforts from fans (one of which is on this site, no less). I bet he'll show up at the end of the line, just like Spinster did at the end of Siege.

Plus lentement, my little nom de plume*.

*Could somebody check this for me before Bob gets back? I'm stretching myself here.

Firstly, can we take the feline leaker to the vets? I have guests coming round.

I sincerely hope you're right and I'm wrong. A very G1 Smokescreen that's some sort of harbinger for us getting all three Datsuns again is a serious buzz kill. But I'm probably right because I'm self annihilating-ly fantastic.

Thanks. 4 is definitely the minimum. Be interesting to see if it gets stretched further. And actually I'd find it kind of odd if it didn't, considering what happened with Siege. I hope so. More waves means more chance of the obscure characters I'd like to see get made. Either that or WfC:III is two waves.

    More slowly?
Nom de plume is pen-name, and same in English.

I speak almost no French, but I think you said "good oiling, my little feather," so, right back at you.

More than waves, I would love to see the exclusives plan - 10-12 Selects again? Paradron Medic/Lifeline, CDF Scattorshot, some goofy ass Modulator reuses, Omnibots etc, please!

Retail Smokescreen as Diaclone Bluestreak is some inception level thinking I can get behind, @Vector Oracle - let's speak that into existence.

Awesome all around. Hoping Smokescreen is a Earth mode Datsun type.
