Crap and I bought the G1 cassettes because of this but now that they're coming with updated cassettes i might sell the G1's off. This Soundwave looks insane!! Definite must buy for me!

The cassettes just put me over the edge, now I HAFTA own this thing or I'll die of shame. 

 

Do you folks think that this version would come out with some (not) Energon cubes?

That is stunning and will be bought from RobotKingdom the moment it goes on preorder. The only nitpick I have is that it might be just a tiny bit too detailed, especially with all the extra details on his head. But that's still a minor concern.

 

BTS just got BiTch Slapped.

This was an insta buy when the first pics came out. Then we heard the price will be in the $100 range. NOW we learn they are making cool self contained cassettes!!!! So bought and as I do so I can hear anyone considering the BTS cassettes cancelling their order.

Sorry BTS let this be a lesson to you (and Impossible Toys) that this is where we are at in the 3rd party era.

 

Hell yeah, not too bothered about Ravage as I think the Device Label one is really good but Frenzy and Rumble....true cartoon lookalikes that turn into tapes with full articulation?? WANT.

Has a G1 MP Shockwave been confirmed by a third party?!? If so how the hell did I miss that!

What are the odds the cassettes will be available seperatley? I could live with that as it would keep costs down for Soundwave....

 

I do wonder if the younger generation knows what is a tape deck and cassette tape...

 

The only G1 MP Shockwave we may be getting is from Fanstoys (this company) IF Soundwave and Blaster sell well.

Looking like this, with original good looking cassetticons, selling for $100 (an MP FOR $100??!!!??) This thing will sell out in a heart beat. If they do follow through though, I would suspect to see MP by 2013. Trends seems to show that it takes a year to make something from start to finish.

 

please note they took a lot of our requests, including the double-jointed elbow so he can push his own "eject" button. Im also under the impression that the sliding arms on the original model have been altered, and as we can all see, there is more detail added to the paneling. and as they imply, seems like we may be getting some tapes.
these guys are really on the ball. Bring on Blaster!

 

Blaster has the added excitement of never having his beast cassettes remade in any form. I eagerly await Ramhorn and Steeljaw.

 

they havent mentioned tapes for blaster, please take that as speculation for the moment.

 

Sorry total speculation on my part. They never mentioned tapes for Soundwave and here we are, so my excitement got the better of me.

 

I'm sure they can easily remedy that...

My first reaction was "Another Soundwave?!?", but if it's MP sized AND the actual toy looks like the design it might be successful.

 

The blue color in the photographs seems a bit saturated imo, but maybe that's the lighting. He looks amazing, though, and I've wanted a MP Soundwave since the MP line began; this will do in a pinch. Definitely keeping an eye on this.

 

So it will pretty much be the same cost as if Takara released themselves.

 

If I had to nitpick anything, it would be the color. I really hope they use the darker navy blue scheme like the show and original G1 toy as opposed to that bright toony looking blue in the preview pic.
