With MP Soundwave in hand... it looks like Hasbro spanked Fanstoys in the aspects of engineering, transformation creativity, integration of accessories, and colors.

Fanstoys has better leg proportions that allows more poses, and I like their head.

I would love it if they offered a voyager size version of this in addition to a voyager Shockwave - instant buys for me.

Yeah I'm really hoping that they're making a move to downscale those two for Classics collectors. I would probably be down for both if the designs translated well and the price was decent.

I could have sworn that I read somewhere that they were planning on releasing their Shockwave next year in a voyager scale! But don't quote me on that.

Judging by the Slag response, a metal Soundwave would blow up the space bridge and disrupt all space-time continuity between Marvel, IDW and what's that other one?

Does any know if there are any production copies of this anywhere? Or samples available for sale?

The more toy influenced legs are cool, but otherwise I find Takara's version to be better.

I'm 3rd party all the way when TT can't cut it. But TT Soundwave can't be beaten here if you are aiming for true G1 Show accuracy. This design was back in the day of late 2011 where anything that wasn't a 1980s g1 toy and semi resembled the show got a pass; like QuakeWave: Fabulous Shockwave but if you compare it proportion and design wise, it isn't g1 show Shockwave.

Anyway, not saying TT can't be outdone, but this isn't it imo. FT could be one of the ones to give us an alternative.

I buy lots of 3p so I'm not biased, but really? MP soundwave is one of the best MP products to date. I couldn't imagine replacing him with anything.

Agreed. Soundwave is my favorite MP. Competing against him would be pointless, especially with the Asia reissue.

Fans Toys were wise to bow out on this when Takara revealed MP13. Not saying MP13 can't be topped, but this wouldn't have done it.

yeah... I got hasbro from TRU, picked him up for cheap on ebay.. Painted his eyes red and put on articulated hands on him from transistor (which he really didn't need), and he's perfect for me.

Even the eye thing I could have lived with out, but it was an easy fix for me.
