That reminds me of Mutant Icebird...
    1645.jpg
Kind of sticking with "Coca-Cola"... bear with me: if they can reach back to the 90's BW molds, what about Icebird's engineering retooled as a penguin (or a Puffin) instead of an owl?

Would be even more obscure than Polar Claw.

Very true... but seeing all-new (and so far single-use) figure designs for Collaborative (Maverick, JP93) and my recent reception of a character I'd never heard of before this year (Jazztrotrain) makes me feel like what's "too obscure to happen" is shrinking a lot.

I mean, they have been reaching into the G1 Molds for Tonkanator and J. Balvintron, Combiner Wars for Ectotron, Ultimate X-Spanse uses parts from Studio Series Jetfire, Draculus is a Titans Return Retool, and they even rereleased the Street Fighter II Titans Returns redecos in the Collaborative Toyline.
So, reaching backwards into Beast Wars doesn't feel out of the question.

But, we should really stop thinking about the normal. I mean, J. Balvintron was very much out of nowhere, Draculus had precedent. Ectotron, the G.I. Joe Transformers, Gigawatt, and Tyrannocon Rex/JP93 all were practically like "when" rather than "if" they would happen. Tonkanator was probably gonna happen because Hasbro owns Tonka. And Ultimate X-Spanse and Maverick were also likely to happen. J. Balvintron was the only real "out-of-nowhere" figure.

Knowing Hasbro, it will either have some level of precedent (like how Marvel and G.I. Joe having crossovers with Transformers and how they were planning to make the Universal Monsters Figures early in the Transformers Toyline), will be linked to something they own the rights to (Tonka and G.I. Joe), will be a designer figure (J. Balvintron), or it will be linked to an 80s-90s Franchise (Ghostbusters, Back to the Future, Top Gun, Jurassic Park).

I don't think it could be Care Bears as Hasbro no longer owns the toy rights to the Care Bears (they lost them in 2014). Battle Beasts might be a possibility. Or maybe M.A.S.K. Is there a M.A.S.K., well, anything named after Bears?

Here's a list of the toys that Hasbro makes from Wikipedia. List of Hasbro toys - Wikipedia

It may give us some hints.

Meanwhile, if they were to work with Mattel, here's a list of Mattel's Properties from the Mattel Corporate Website. https://corporate.mattel.com/brand-portfolio

Unless we are just running round in circles.

You know, “Project Bear” could be a Coca-Cola truck redecoed from Holiday Prime. Just saying.

Probably Transformers x Fortnite collab because of Cuddle team leader being based on teddy bear.

No, that is a DnD release, along with some other monsters that also turn into dice. There's a red dragon, black dragon, beholder and owl bear that turn into d20s, completely unrelated to transformers

Or whatever license it is was an absolute bear to obtain, and the name is an injoke.

I wouldn't think they'd choose an injoke for a codename for a Collaborative Transformer.
    • Ectotron: "Project Mullet"
    • Gigawatt: "Project Future"
    • Maverick: "Project Cruise"
    • Ultimate X-Spanse: "Project Bird"
    • Tyrannocon Rex/JP93: "Project Park"
    • J. Balvintron/Energia Buzzsaw & Vibras Stripes: "Project Jam"
    • Draculus: "Project Bat"
    • Megatron H.I.S.S. Tank: "Project Trooper 1"
    • Bumblebee A.W.E Striker: "Project Trooper 3"
    • Tonkanator: "Project Yellow"
Hmm, looking at the previous names, determining the previous Codename's Connection to the Source Material might give us some insight on what connections could be from the codename of "Project Bear" to the source material.

Project Mullet: No clue what the connection between "Ghostbusters" and "Mullet" is
Project Future: Back to the Future
Project Cruise: Tom Cruise plays the lead Role in Top Gun.
Project Bird: Ultimate X-Spanse becomes the X-Men's Blackbird, the X-Jet.
    Project Park: Jurassic Park
    Project Jam: Music
    Project Bat: Vampires become Bats.
Project Trooper: G.I. Joe has troopers in it.
Project Yellow: Tonka Trucks are Yellow.

So, from these, I can determine one of three things.
    1. It may be connected to the Title of the source Material.
    2. It may be connected to the lead actor of the source material
    3. It's connected to something about the source material.
Hmm, not many movies have "Bear" in the Title. Brother Bear stands out to me as it was released 2003. Not many results for "name of an actor".

My only candidate for the source material is Care Bears.

Also, we got to realize the two potentials I've been talking about: "Collaboration potential" and "Figure Potential". "Collaboration Potential" could probably be better worded "Crossover Potential". Something may have high collaboration potential and low figure potential.

Plus, the Transformers would need to, well, Transform. Meaning that a Collaborative Figure needs an alternate mode. The Tonkabots are redecoes of the Constructicons, meaning their alternate modes are Construction Vehicles. Maverick becomes the plane from Top Gun. Ultimate X-Spanse becomes the X-Men X-Jet. Draculus becomes a Bat. The G.I. Joe Transformers become G.I. Joe Vehicles. Ectotron becomes the Ecto-1. Gigawatt becomes the DeLorean Time Machine, Tyrannocon Rex becomes the T-Rex from Jurassic Park, while JP93 becomes a Tour Vehicle. J. Balvintron becomes a Boombox (as a redeco of G1 Soundwave). This means that the Collaborative Figure needs an alternate Mode. What could it become?

There's been credible speculation that many of the reissues they've been doing are new molds.

There are visible differences between Tonka Devastator and previous versions. Fractions of a millimeter difference but still.

He's not hinting at anything, right?

(I don't actually think so, but I really want a proper Polar Claw at some point)

The only problem with a Coke Bear, is what makes it a Coke Bear and not just a Polar Bear?

    Answer...
He would have to come with a Scarf and a bottle.

    Also it's a holiday theme

To be fair, we don't know when this Project Bear is coming out. I don't actually think it's a Coke Polar Bear but it's fun to think about.

But, seriously, I feel like it could be a potential pretool for Polar Claw with added cloth scarf and added Guzzlerush Redeco into a Coca Cola Bottle.
I mean, Draculus had a Cloth Cape, so the Coca Cola Polar Bear could have a cloth scarf.
I wouldn't think that they'd release another truck, especially since the Amazon Prime Transformer hasn't been released yet.
