Shia was on there and he had a new clip and it had him on the building with the Spark and we got to hear Megatron talk, he sounded great. "Not so wise", I have it recorded in High-Def glory but no way to get it to you guys sorry.
WOW! I take back everything I said about Hugo Weaving being Cast. He actually sounds closer to G1 Megatron than Frank Welker does in the game. Long LIVE Frank Welker and all his voices but, yes This Megatron I can totally live with...... Maybe they really DO know what thier doing with this film. we'll find out monday.
I love that close up shot of his face. People said how ugly all those little pieces made him look...but look at how he emotes with that! Each piece is like a muscle moving, adjusting, showing his almost perverse enjoyment at the fact that Sam isn't giving it to him. And it doesn't sound a THING like Hugo! WOW! I didn't know he had it in him!
I like this new voice. This Megatron doesn't sound as insane/berserk as Welker's Megatron. This new voice kicks ass.
That's just... Perfect. I don't know how else to describe it. I wanted Welker from the beginning. I wasn't stubborn or adamant about it. If the movie execs thought they had someone better, I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. After hearing Hugo's Megatron, I am glad I didn't help make this movie. Weaving would NEVER have occurred to me, and I think I actually prefer him to Welker. From just this clip, even!
Hugo does a damn good job. His work, combined with ILM's visuals convinced me to buy the Leader figure, no regrets, just a big shit eatting Grin I liked the tone and hatred in his voice when he yells "MAGGOT!" from offscreen
HOLY CRAP! Chills down the spine, man. CHILLS. Even if it's only two lines, I'll agree that Weaving did beautifully as Megs here. *snerk* "...my pet." Man... THAT, is G1 Megatron.

LoL, totally doesn't sound like Hugo Weaving, but he seems really good at doing different voices (V in V for Vendetta didn't sound exactly like him either). Awesome! He sounds better at Megatron than even Welker does now. Perfect casting. I love Welker to death, but I think with age he lost the ability to do Megs as well as he used to.
