Felt it was perfect in terms of dialogue, pacing and humour until the unnecessary ass shot - which was the only part I felt was out-of-place during the clip due to it being on a barely legal girl (in terms of both her actual age during filming and in the story...)

 

I remember the movie's PG-13 rating having brief innedeuo. Guess that ass shot was the thing.

typical.. you know what.. they should have made the "shorts being too short joke" with a shot of tj millers face.. now THAT would've made sense. oh wait.. it wouldn't.

While she does have on the short shorts and it is an ass shot, Bay has done far worse and this ass shot with the short shorts is a normal teen girl's (not all teen girls) way of dressing down south. Every Texas cow girl I seen when I lived in Texas for 4 years had on the short shorts like this. And while barly legal, 17 is so lol.

 

It's called a camera stand bay, use it!

 

I just don't go into a Transformers movie wanting to look at someone's ass (Male or Female) If I was interested in that sort of thing their are other ways to view it.

They could have easily shown more of Tessa in the first place, rather than cut to a shot of her ass. In terms of perspective for the joke to make more sense we should be seeing from Cade's view and seeing her from the front - instead we see her from behind in a perspective that would only make sense if we were only the height of her ass.

Anyway, it was a minor point and I said the rest of the scene was perfect. Not sure why you need to be so incredibly rude about it.

17 is the legal age of consent in Texas - her character in the movie is just turned 17 (Hence the prom) Either way, it was a minor point I just don't go into a Transformers movie wanting to see someone's ass so it distracted me from the joke. I know people do dress like that but their are better ways of doing the joke - I mean this is a father addressing his daughter who the director then chooses to sexualise in a camera angle where the characters ass is filling most the screen.
