More at the link above (including designs for a couple of Autobots I'd not seen before).

 

Ooh, I like what I see. The idea of a team that doesn't work so well together is an immediate box-tick, and should lead to greater character conflict and interaction than Prime offered in its early stages. And with a Dinobot and a Mini-Con on the team, the visual mixture should be good. I enjoy the light pseudo-Animated touches, too, like Sideswipe's "hair" - though based on what we've been told I'm not sure how much we can expect these images to reflect the finished show.

 

My; this looks really fun.

And I see that Melching is story editor now; given he wrote a number of bigger episodes in the series, including "Deadlock" and "Predacons Rising", this is VERY reassuring.

 

So, how is the fandom going to shorthand this so as not to conflict with the 2001-2002 "Robots in Disguise" series?

Forget the cartoon - what about the toyline?

This'll probably be our third Robots in Disguise toyline now. So will it go CRID, PRID, and RID?

My daughter is big fan of this guy but for me, I'm not too sure abt it..

 

too bad i hate the style so far because in another artists' style those designs would look awesome. especially the orange guy who looks like a hybrid of G1 and movie wheelie, lol.

 

All I ask is that it be a bit more fun and funny as compared to the uber dark Prime series.

This is.. interesting. I am warming up to the animated styled designs, though.. Kind of.

 

Digging Sideswipe's hairdo. Holy shit something creative and different!

While the actual character drawings are much improved, I'm not diggin' those designs too much. Bumblebee and Sideswipe are very similar, and I'm really getting tired of seeing carformers with the front as the chest and wheels for shoulders, and door-wings. Even Movie BB has dropped the door wings. I was kind of hoping to see vehicle parts in different areas, like the front of the car as the legs or doors on the legs. (or anything on the legs)

Well, at least it's 2d animation. But the designs of the face don't look too good.
