I'm one of those people who did not get a Fansproject Bruticus set while I had the chance. I would really like to get these new guys, but I don't have $250 dollars lying around that I could use. In fact it would take a little under half the year to get it by doing chores around the house. Plus by then, it will have skyrocketed in price. I have to know: is FP Bruticus worth it? If I'm getting any Bruticus, it's probably going to be G2 Bruticus with some of the Retail versions thrown in. So once again: Is he worth it?

FansProject Bruticus is one of the best 3rd party figures ever made. The price will seem high, but you'll quickly get your money back just in happiness alone.

Is FansProject Bruticus worth it? YES. Expect to see quite a few responses with a similar answer to this. All I can recommend for trying to get the money to pay for this sooner would be to take a good long look at all the figures in your collection and see if there's any you'd be willing to part with to fund this. Or even prowl the Junkion Exchange to see if you can score a deal on the original sets.

If Colossus is going to be that significant of an investment for you, I would do a little prioritizing. If Colossus really is at the top of your list, frankly I wouldn't settle for the Generations version. Unless you can be sure you'll be satisfied with it, that's just another $60 you're taking away from a more valued figure.

Yes and no. It's great for nostalgic reasons and was an awesome first combiner, and is wayyyy better than anything hasbro had ever thought if doing at the the time. But now, a year or two later, the ante has gone up a fair amount. Its no giant, or (pending) menasor. But since price is so cheap now, I'd definitely recommend getting the set. The only reason I'm NOT getting it is because I can't justify a whole new set for the slight color adjustments. I would prefer the newer set over the original, which I currently have.
If they ever decided to issue an Onslaught replacement, I'd be all over that joint.
btw, expect to get slapped for not posting this in the third party thread.

I skipped them as well when they were initially released. But I bought Energon Bruticus Maximus at the end of September from a local. I'm now waiting on the redeco of Munitioner & Explorer.

Do what you can to get this set.

I'm... not even going to bother with the FoC Combaticons.
