I'll give you applause where applause is due. This potential bot mode looks pretty convincing to me, especially after seeing the Constructicon Steam Shovel in the teaser trailer. I think you're onto something. Great job! This mode is pretty nifty looking and makes me anxious to see the rest! Thanks!

I'm guessing rolling on one wheel vs. two legs = easier to animate. This would definitely cut down on animating resources, especially with all the bots that are supposed to be in this movie.

I don't understand why she splits into 3 smaller bots that are self depenant. I mean, prime had components in G1 sure, but he himself wasn't dependant of them. But arcee is supposed to be 1 bot according to the movie-verse comics, so why does she have 3 smaller bots that form her??? That doesn't make sence. Unless just 1 is arcee and she's just part of biker chick combiner.

Interesting. Like others have said....it sucks that some of these new Transformers can't stand on their own. I hope they combine into a cooler robot. So far I'm not really into it. I'm hoping that the combined Arcee has a body similar to her first movie design.

the comics were made with little if any information about the new film also Arcee in the comics has not come to earth yet and thus does not have an earth mode yet. So I'd say she is just one of the bots and the other two will come into the comics right at the end just before the movie or they will just be retcon'd in in some movie sequel prequel

who on the design team keeps making one wheeled robots, don't they know unicycles aren't cool. not to mention you can't pose half the toys without resting their arms on the ground.

The only thing I liked about Beast Machines (and really the whole Beast Wars era) was that the Vehicons often had non-bipedal bot modes. It made them look more alien. There is no reason that autonomous alien robots should resemble humans. I'm glad that the movie designers are also thinking outside the boot, so to speak.

Actually the opposite is more than likely true. Bipedal walk cycles are one of the most studied and implemented aspects of animation, and would not present any real challenge. Animators can use the human body as examples of what to follow. A body moving on 1 wheel, however, completely changes the way balance and weight shifting are handled, and there is no point of reference to follow - resulting in more time spent getting it right.

There's a robot I like. I love all these wheeled guys, like Sideswipe and the constructicon. Can't wait to see the other two robo chicks.

Arcee was a fail from the get go, be it the first movie or this one.

I have no idea why but your sig is still making me chuckle.

The Birds of Prey members Oracle, Huntress, and Black Canary combine into Arcee. Neat.

Wonder if the individual components will get the GEEWUN female Autobot names. This could be a "Chromia", given the blue and the masculine face.

The vehicle mode is sold and I like the cybertronian markings. You can just tell that Arcee will be a combiner even if you didn't originally know it. The connection port is interesting.

Arcee is shaping up to be quite interesting.
I get the feeling her combination will be extremely slick on screen.

So what if it's not three bots to form Arcee but instead three separate bots? Arcee, Elita-1 and some rando chick?
