Kudos for keeping the original packaging, but didn\'t Takara do the same re-release like 10 years ago?
Man that fat, stretchy-faced Cheetor reminds me why I never bought that toy. I had it in hand a few times, but despite my love of cheetahs, nope. BM Cheetor was far better even if exaggerated. Cheetahs should be sleek and thin.

I'm not an MISB guy but these might change that. I hope we get Tarantulas and Dinobot somewhere down the road.

Awesome! Call me when they hit Transmetals. I have no need for Season One forms, that's what Masterpiece is for.

Isn't Hasbro literally competing with themselves here? Who wants to buy BOTH the new Kingdom Optimus Primal, Megatron, Cheetor (x2) and Rattrap, as well as the original versions, all in the same year?

Oh I don't know people that missed out the first time/started collecting later and want the figure but don't want to pay $50 for the original.

Might be remembering wrong but there were at least two master molds or whatever you call the darn thing that were used buy Hasbro/Takara. The first I think the last usage was Uni 2.0 Screamer(and boy did it show). Gen Thrust/Dirge and beyond used the second molding which I forget when they started using it. THERE ARE TWO MANY CLASSIC SEEKERS......HOLY MOLEY!!!

Same type of people as the ones who would buy the G1 reissues at the same time as WFC.

I feel like this should have been used as an opportunity to reissue items that had major break/deterioration issues, not variations of characters currently on shelf.

feels like there standard procedure these days. Half their mainline stuff is competing with the masterpiece lines at the same time.

Hopefully these guys draw the scalper bots away from the Netflix stuff next week.

Something for everyone? I’m not too terribly interested in the Kingdom figures but want the reissues something fierce.

It’s the Beast Wars 25th anniversary, makes sense that Hasbro is going all in as much as possible, yeah?

Could be another 25 years that BW will get this much attention. :p

Update: the prices on the listings are still holding the same as they were when we found them.

Listings for vintage Beast wars line

Also, Walmart has them shipping September 1st. Despite what the IGN article says.

I’ll keep y’all posted if anything changes.

When I'm wrong, I'm wrong. But when I'm right, I'm hella right!

Newer fans, don't pass on these just because you own the Kingdom versions. Primal is amazing, Megatron has a solid chonky feel to him, Cheetor IS SUPERIOR to the Kingdom version, and Rattrap is a better version than the Kingdom figure in some (not all) ways.

Is Rattrap worth $20? Well, he's basically an improved One-Step changer with better articulation and weapon storage. Back in the day, he was a $6 figure. Probably should be $15 but, hey, call it a $5 tax for probably having to reconstruct the tooling.

It's an attempt to be more show-accurate. His helmet was black in the cartoon. Primal likewise has a darker metallic blue helmet instead of the toy's original flat primary blue.

I think these are the Walmart exclusives he countdown is for, so I don't think there will be any Netflix reveals on the 15th.

I don't need any of these but I'm down for Dinobot if they ever reissue him.

You know, if everyone buys these, that might convince Hasbro to kick out the Transmetal molds next.
