They're specifically talking about laws relates to toys not all safety regulations. Saying it's dumb that they aren't allowed to have fully firing projectiles is definitely not the same thing as saying "I agree with Johnson & Johnson's use of asbestos."

We know the missiles fire because we have those shots with Primal having the missiles in the storage behind his head

Gotta say, not following this argument fully and think its a bit silly.

Spring-loaded weapons was my second favorite toy-related gimmick after transformation itself. I had so many Batman figures with so many spring-loaded weapons that he never used in the toon but I didn't care because it was Batman with a missile launcher dammit. Good times.

So anyway, hopefully Primal retains his firing missiles because his spring-loaded arm cannon will become 90% less awesome otherwise.

Never really made it into the fiction, as far as I know. It was just something the toy designers came up with, but got cut from the animation to save on modelling costs. And then because most extended Beast Wars fiction defers to the show as the main continuity, they tend not to bother with them, either.

In the cast of Tarantulas and Blackarachnia, Tarantulas' robot head is based on the mutant mask, while Blackarachnia's head is derived from the "robot" face.

If they've ever appeared at all in the fiction (the Beast Wars: Gathering comic, maybe?), then they're probably just treated as battle masks/helmets.

The toys abandoned the concept after the first year/assortment.

Kinda wish these reissues had been for the season 2 Transmetal cast.

I understand that it\'s probably better business sense to use the season 1 figures, to tie in better to the recent Kingdom stuff, but the Transmetals are better figures overall, could really do with a non-chrome-flaky paintjob, and let\'s face it, TM Megatron is in DESPARATE need of a reissue that won\'t crumble to bits in your hand.

After getting Kingdom Primal I have to say I still prefer the original. That figure was freaking amazing for it's time and still super fun. Loved the shoulder launchers and it was an example of gimmicks done right that didn't hamper the figure in anyway. Just wish it was ever so slightly smaller to fit with the newer figures.

Well they are more expensive than Megas were when Megas still existed, so I guess they can be whatever Hasbro wants to call them.

Really hoping they do Terrorsaur and Razorbeast next, as they were my first BW figs. I remember I had $11 or $12 dollars to spend, & so I had to choose between getting 2 basics or 1 deluxe. I made the right call on that one. Soon after that I got the bat primal & gator megatron 2-pack with that awesome little mini comic, so my teams were equally matched. Polar Claw & Scorponok soon followed. They were all such great toys. 10869481-8DC1-4103-8186-7A622179DA36.jpeg F5CF4BA8-F9BA-4394-8C64-D794A538F4A2.jpeg 05468BE5-DFDC-4485-A439-48CF0F35A335.jpeg E31013D1-EF51-4FAC-A824-E3E9F020C53A.jpeg

I would like that too, but I think only the ones that were on TV will be released, so I doubt a lot for Razorbeast and Polar Claw.

If even in Kingdom the bear was already discarded.

    Welcome to TFW!

I think the theory that whoever did the packaging just didn't know "Ultra" and "Mega" were size classes is more logical. The layout is lifted directly from the old packaging, where actual Mega toys were being advertised.

Given it was the 90's they may have thought those terms were describing the toys, rather than denoting price points. Everything was pretty mega and ultra back then.

Maybe this reissue line will give us the proper BW Inferno. I’m still mad they went the lazy route in the Kingdom line.

That wasn't lazy, that was just giving us the proper WFC G1 Inferno. We'll get the big ant updated someday.

I would be all for a Razorbeast reissue. He was my first BW figure. I still have my original still intact but I'd love to have a reissue to keep sealed in package with his awesome card artwork on display. If they can reissue the original Dinobot, I would love to see them do a special reissue of BW Grimlock as well just as an acknowledgement for those whose original succumbed to GPS.

I never had the original Ultra class Megatron and I was just looking at pics of his original release this afternoon and I never knew he had a silver helmet...and a major lack of paint apps on his robot mode torso.

Someday? What better time than Kingdom? They could have thrown the Grapple retool in the Selects line. It was kind of a slap in the face to throw G1 inferno in the Kingdom line.
