With all this pointless and juvenile bitching, this fandom is twice as funny as the twins. Enough said.

    This.

Lots of us liked the 'silly' robot in TF1. Frenzy was great. If they are silly like that then sounds good to me.

Well, I'm of two minds, here.

    1) It'll get the comic relief focus (hopefully) off of Bay's trademark offensive and unfunny racial stereotype jokes (Bay thinks black people antics are patently hi-larious). This is good.

    2) By moving the comic relief into the Autobot ranks we run the risk of introducing Jar-Jar-esque characters, and that never ends well. Or begins well. Or is even remotely well in the middle.

Verdict: Let's wait and see, and HOPE for the best.

I like Jar-Jar. People take these fandoms way to seriously when they are so intolerant of campy characters. I am not trying to see "Saving Private Ryan" with robots.

I hope the tooth one talks and acts like 'Mater' from cars.

How can anyone be shocked that the man who is on a personal mission to dumb down American movies would like the dumb-bot the best? I mean damn can you name anything smart in a Micheal Bay film that wasn't a special effect so of course he's going to like the bots that reflect his feel like you rode the short bus to the theater style of movie making.

Does make me worry more about the film though because Bay just doesn't have comedy timing so what should be funny falls flat instead.

But you know I endure 2 hours of what Bay thinks is awesome-sauce and then I get a life time of bitching about the film so that's not a bad trade off. Plus I get the enjoyment of reading the attempts at defending the movie which should be as fun as the Star Wars fans who wanted more Star Wars films so bad they would even defend Jar Jar.

Perhaps the fan war will be more amusing than the actual film.

If they're all blowing a gasket for no reason like you, probably. If you wanted ssssssuper sssssserial movies, you definitely picked the wrong franchise.

QFT. I'd rather have *transforming robot* slapstick stupidity, than dance-dance-revolution "stay off my momma's carpet" donut-gorging pointless scenes any day.

Someone should edit the frontpage--the end of the article makes it pretty clear that Bumblebee is Bay's favorite, not the twins.

"Some more" indicates inclusion in a set, which in this case is the group of his favorite transformers (note, plural). The implicature being that all of the transformers he is discussing belongs to the set (the Fallen, the Twins, Devastator and Bumblebee). Now, the article ends with a clear indicator of the privileged member of the set, i.e., Bumblebee; in other words, among his favorites, his most favorite is Bumblebee.

You guys are misrepresenting Bay and causing a fruckus for no reason.

    Agreed.

I hadn't even thought about what they'd sound like. I don't know if I'd like them to sound like that, but it'd suit them.

As usual, the judgments from the "fanbase" have all been cast BEFORE the movie has even been seen by any of them.

It's entirely possible they could end up being hilarious and have us all rolling in our seats.

The fans that really make me laugh are the ones that refuse to "support it" but are still going to download the torrents and find other means to see it, if only to have something more to complain about.

    you love the movie, AWESOME!

    you hate the movie, AWESOME!

to each their own.. no big deal. it's a movie. there are plenty of other choices this summer. but to blatantly rip on it over and over and over about how horrible it will be and how you're not going to see it in theatres... BUT to find other means of watching it other than paying for it? If it's that bad, why even bother at all?

i could have watched Wolverine, but i didn't like what they did to the characters... i didn't still watch it because it was free. i didn't watch it because i wasn't interested anymore. plain and simple.

some people are just so attention crazy, board and lonely that they will watch something they deem horrible just so they can continue to complain about it. otherwise, they have nothing solid to back up their bitching.

    sad and lame.

If anybody should voice them, it should be Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith.

Ugh, I'm sick of all the fans who think they have to worship anything with the name Transformers slapped on it and then call the others wrong for not agreeing. If you liked the first movie great, good for you, and if you like most of michael bay's movies, good for you, guess what, not everyone does, and its okay to express that, but telling people they're wrong or complaining that they're expressing they're opinion is stupid. Bitching about bitching is dumb(and yes I know in a sense thats what I'm doing but it needs to be said). I don't think theres anything wrong with hoping the movie could be halfway intelligent and entertaining, those two things are compatible believe it or not, not everyone wants to see 2 hours of explosions and minimal plot.

Nobody thought this. In fact, it was one of the more often talked about subjects before the first film came out, that Hollywood wouldn't believe for a moment that Transformers could be relateable characters and so believed they had to cram the movie full of humans so the audience could "get it."

I'm really beginning to enjoy how anyone who says they enjoyed the first film, on any level, no matter how many times they've pointed out in the past that they know there were flaws, are considered "apologists." Like somehow, there's something wrong with anyone who enjoyed the first film.

There are some folks that are REALLY bent out of shape about the movie franchise. I would ask that people try to remember what it was like to enjoy their hobby and focus on those aspects they do enjoy, rather than raging and ranting against anything that might not meet their ever higher standards.

Well, I would ask that, if I thought for a moment anyone would pay any heed to it. As it is, it'll get lost in the myriad of flames.

This whole shit is freaking pathetic.

If you like it you have no taste, if you dislike it you're a dick, if you complain about complainers you are a nazi.

No wonder some people prefer DON MURPHY over Transformers forums for transformers discussion.

    THIS JUST IN:

Michael Bay likes things irreverent and dumb!

Kind of explains his whole movie-making philosophy right there.
