I just went to my local Walgreens, and they have 2 new Basic Fun Transformers Articulated figural Keychains: Megatron & Barricade!

These are like the two previous Basic Fun Transformers Articulated figural Keychains of movie Optimus Prime & BumbleBee.

Megatron is totally silver, with a black wash all over the figure, and his "teeth" are painted white. He is sculpted after the original unused movie concept "bucket/shark-head" style movie design, NOT the finalized movie design.

Barricade is primarily black, with purple details (like the deluxe movie Barricade), has red eyes, dark gray details, white door sections, and his various police car decals/emblems.

They were $4.99 each.

Amongst the TONS (around 20 of each) of Optimus Prime & BumbleBee Keychains, they only had 1 Megatron and 1 Barricade Keychain.

Wow. Maybe they should've put these out a wee bit sooner. There could've been 4 different molds (rather than 2) amongst the 120-odd I've seen at every TRU for the past 6 months.

 

I would like to see what they look like also. I hadn't seen this thread until I started searching after seeing a listing on Entertainment Earth for them. Unfortunately they don't have pictures either but will probably update soon.

Megatron sounds cool, were it not for the outdated head.

 

I got the other two, may as well get these as well, especially the Megsy.

I agree. I'm still trying to find a decent Optimus keychain. All the ones I see either have sloppy paint, missing paint, or were molded badly (like on Prime's face -to the point where their faces are crushed in).

Usually Basic Fun's products are really well done and come out looking great, especially their keychains (which I have quite a few of).

However, when compared to the Optimus and BumbelBee ones, the Megatron and Baricade keychains are not bad. It seems more like the first 2 were rushed for the movie, because now I AM seeing Prime and BumbleBee keychains that look much better than ever before.

 

Oh, hey! I saw those like, a month ago at Wal*Mart. I didn't know those were new.

Just picked up one of each at one of my local Walgreens. $3.99 is their normal price; they're currently at an advertised price of 3/$10.00.
