with prime characters getting new generations style toys in legacy is anyone in favor or opposed to generation style toys of tfa characters?
itd be good to revisit the characters but im not sure about losing the unique style.

I hate how they’ve taken characters from other continuities and generified them. Give me true animated style figures or go to hell I say!

 

Some great fanart has been made of CHUGish Animated designs, so it can be designed, but they gotta come with it more than they did for Bulkhead. More along Arcee’s lines.

 

In a distant past, I would have trusted Hasbro the most to represent Animated characters. That sentiment is no longer there

TFA simply doesn't align with the brand's current goals it seems. We are better off having 3rd parties that consistently make new accessories or figures for the series

Well, at least Ratchet's film inspired paint deco and the Lockdown character. These two figures must be a double whammy for fans that despise Transformers Animated AND the live action Bay films, lol.  

I like to pretend Ratchet forcefully took his EMP generator back from Lockdown and zapped him with it, so that's why he's translucent.  

 

As a TFA kid, I don't mind it, especially if that's the only way we get new TFA figures. And honestly, the TFA designs are more G1 than TFP so they would work better. Also, we have fan art that shows they can work in that art style/a different art style that the show had. Especially this first one which is in a more G1 art style.

IMO, there’s no point in new Animated figures if they don’t follow the same style. Besides, there are SO many characters who never got toys at all, even ones who were more than just bit parts on the show, like Wasp and the Constructicons. I’d rather see one of them than a new version of an existing toy. I still really want an Animated Red Alert, just to see how they would engineer it.

Man, My Animated collection is looking a bit sad right now, many of the toys I had either perished from my childhood or got sold. To Remember Derricks Legacy, in 2022 I'm going to track down new copies of some TF Animated toys I missed out on as a kid. I'm gonna try and find an Animated Earth Megatron, Ironhide, Ultra Magnus and a new bumblebee (My originals arms broke off)
