    Hey all

I've had this guy for a while, figured I had betetr take some pictures of him!

    Plus, I have a mystery regarding the toy . . .

Now a mystery. On Starscreams back, there is a section you can open up. I have NO CLUE why this is, doesn't seem to do anything, in either mode!
A future combination point (thinking like Armada Megatron/TidalWave kinda thing) maybe? I'm not sure - Look at the pics and make up your own mind!

The copyright, note it says Tomy and it comes BEFORE Hasbro ???

Jet Mode is VERY VERY VERY hard to get to lock into place. You always end up popping one side out or having the canopy not lining up. BUT remember this is just a prototype, I had the same thing with a test shot movie Blackout so I am praying Hasbro fix this as it ruins jet mode. Remember this is a prototype so DONT assume the production will have same problem!

If you have any picture requests let me know!

    QFT on both points.
And regarding the "mystery," I think the official transformation has those pieces flipped open, not that it necessarily looks better like that.

I'm wondering if the panels open to improve posability.

Love that pic. I can't believe I didn't think to do that one.

As for the rear panels I just figured they close to complete jet mode but seperate to keep the slim look to bot mode.

he looks amazing except his face, I could see a more regular starscream head on that body working fine.

You can swivel those pieces up. Sorta like tailfins on cyb. Starscream.

    Awesome pics dude.
And I'm pretty sure the "mistery" is just for the toy's design.
Kind of like Movie Barricade's secret foot-spikes and the way you can change his shoulder wheels to the right position.

He's so scrawny compared to Bulkhead. Almost like a deluxe.

But they look like they're simply sitting flush inside the "engines"...

Hang on, gotta wipe the drool off...

So are these figures Deluxe or Voyager (or is it unknown)? Obviously Prowl is Deluxe but I usually only get one class for these newer toys (except in instances where only one of a character is released) and I need to make a decision.

Obviously this is just guesswork because I don't own the toy, but could those panels be there to facilitate transformation?

Sometimes during a difficult transformation, I might find myself saying, "If only this wing wasn't there, I could reach those arms easier" or "If only there was a way for me to reach past this door, I could extend the legs much easier."

Maybe opening those panels gives you easier access to some parts to transform, then when the transform is finished, you close the panels?

And if not, well, it's certainly a lot more aesthetically pleasant than certain other Starscreams' hip kibble. :)

Starscream and Bulkhead are both Voyagers (we've seen in-package pictures of both of them). They also seem to be part of the first wave of these figures, along with Cybertronian Prime, Bumblebee, Prowl, Lockdown, and Cybertronian Megs (also a Voyager class figure). Hopefully we get to see some pictures of the 2-pack that's coming out, as I can't wait to get it and these guys when the finally come out.
