Is there any chance of Takara making new Figures from Animated like Omega Supreme and some of the other bots shown briefly in the show. Also that Animated Prototype of Megs that was shown could be a great start.
No. They'll be working on MP, Prime, Generations and TF3 as much better uses of their time and budget.
I could see a few new reapaints that the US didn't get. BB as Wasp. Cliffjumper from BB. I'd say no to any all new molds.
didn't hasbro say takara wouldn't be making new molds for the toyline and only using molds that are ready for use
I'm not sure about that. But if they brought TFA toys up to "Wonderful Hobby TV till morning #8" (live broadcast show hosted by the Max Factory people) for display and discussion last night I think there might be more coming (maybe not from TakaraTomy).
I'd say the chance of new mold Animated figures from Takara is slim. But they already did it. Those minicon sized figures were new molds. If they finished off some of the unreleased molds, like Hot Shot, Marauder Megatron, I'd be all over that.
I'd think we might get a remold or two if we're very lucky. I'd be happy with half-decent looking PVCs of Fanzone & Sari.
If Animated is doing well over there then I would guess they would keep it running as they are going through all the current molds really quick. Allot faster than we got them.
Of course they are, when you take into account the life cycle of a show like Animated in Japan. IE 1 year.
As much as I love this line, the only new figures I'd really want to see are Slipstream and Cyclonus , and maybe Cliffjumper. Other than that, we got a pretty good representation of all the bots who had any meaningful sreentime.
I wish, I think we were lucky to get Blackout, Wingblade Prime and Hydro Bumblebee at all. C'mon Slipstream, I hearts you.
that's the first time I've seen anyone express any kind of certainty about it. The general response is 'I wish, but probably not going to happen' or 'no, and you're a fool to even consider it a possibility!'. But what you say is true, and they have been going through the existing molds at quite a steady rate. It's only July. My dream scenario would be for them to release Hot Shot, Marauder Megs, and any other existing prototypes. Then add Slipstream, Beachcomber, ... and then Omega Supreme for the epic win.
You got to remember a 52 episode series is ~1 years worth of content in Japan. They don't do seasonal TV like we in the west do. And Animated only has 42 episodes. Plus a Tak/To rep at Botcon said if it ain't got a final mold right now. It's no happening. Which isn't unreasonable, considering that every single Hasbro toy is showing now they got to engineer. Plus their own side lines.
I'd like to see some animated constructicons made if they do go ahead and make some more figures. I'm not saying they are or aren't making new animatied figures but there is always room for maybe.
