That I do not know. I only have Diaclone Bluestreak, and the head folds in with enough clearance for the car to roll.

 

Bluestreak and Prowl don't have any head clearance issues, it's Smokescreen and Barricade that has, and it's mainly because of how the arms and wheels are placed in alt-mode.

 

Yes. Barricade and Smokescreen share the same mould, with the exception of the police lights on the roof.

Unfortunately there's just no way around that head issue. If you try to roll the car on anything other than a flat, smooth surface, you're probably gonna scrape up the head.

the rear spoiler should have been already there in the first place. did Newage overlook that?

 

For me this one is much better than the shoulder doors for Newage Jazz. Now only need a bigger bumper for the front side.

Can he transform with these on? It looks like it's made out of two pieces.

Think Newage just didn't want to remold the figure, but I have no inside knowledge just just speculating.

 

They probably couldn’t find a viable way to implement it in their prototype.

which is surprising. the engineers or designers of Newage could be likened to origami masters. i'm pretty sure they can find a most creative way to have included the spoiler. then again they might have, but factors unknown to us could have forced them not to include it. who knows, right?

 

More likely it was added mould costs that prohibited it. Tacking on a spoiler is easy, but expensive when you're only doing it for one figure.

I don't like the added junk to the trunk, that the add-on needs to wrap around and secure to the car's bottom. I would probably clip that off and just glue the spoiler wings on.

this is true but then again they did the police bar for prowl. Sure they gave it to barricade but the original movie version had a spoiler too. So it would have been for 2 figures.

also I like the idea of potentially glueing them. Will have to see.

Love it. If someone makes a tiny little decal sheet to add racing livery to it, I'll get that too.

I am also keeping an eye on the Magic Square Smokescreen - I think the wider body on it could look nice with the extra Smokescreen body mods. The NA one is a pretty damn nice car, all the Datsuns are on point - but I'm happy to make Smokescreen a little better.

 

Yeah, they skipped it for cost, not because of engineering - it wouldn't have any impact whatsoever on his transformation.

It's neat but I just don't care enough to be bothered. I'm content with Smokescreen as he is.

Before Murphy and Maverick (and two Murphy repaints KITT and Black Rain) came out, I almost expected Bluestreak and Smokescreen to be named Ron and Hermione respectively, since their Prowl is named Harry...

 

Well Harry was meant to represent Dirty Harry. Maverick is top gun. Murphy is robocop iirc.
