How come cosmos is allowed to have a bunch of recolors and translucents but Datsuns have to wait for a Megatron that I don’t believe even has pics yet.

 

Personally I'd have preferred Cosmos' repaints wait as well, but given how quickly NA has been cranking the figures out, I'm not too bothered by it.

 

NA is pumping them out faster than MS that’s for sure.

Honestly the fact that barricade was revealed one day and the next week it was up for pre-order shows how fast they’ve been moving. It’s like they have 2 teams. Team 1 works on mold engineering, team 2 works on recolors.

 

Hadn't started using the drug called Newage yet and now I want the new formule not he old one repackeged (don't do translucent).

 

Personally I don’t think the recolors slow down new molds. I think the recolors are just until they get the new mold finished. If they don’t do anything until the next one, how will their money continue to flow in, especially given how limited their releases are. I mean hell, prowl is already on waiting list on some sites.

 

Actually, Barry was up for preorder on BBTS weeks before he was even officially announced. Newage is so fast I wouldn't be surprised if they start shipping figures to us before even announcing and putting them up for order.

 

I'm looking forward to their Megatron. I also seem to recall a hint of an Optimus leg sometime back.

Barricade was up for pre-order on BBTS almost two months ago. You probably didn't know about it.

 

Well, I hope you get one. They may very well look all all the decos and repaints they made for the Datsuns, and figure they made their money. Jazz, Cosmos and Bumblebee just don't have that many obvious repaints, so it's no surprise that they stretched those out to include transparents, Alternators Shockwave, weirder stuff. Will they feel a need to do that with the Datsuns?

That's what I am hoping for. I'm focusing my Legends on real-world cars that I like, and as much crap as the C3 Corvette got at the time, I love it from a looks perspective. And one that has wings and can fly?? Oh my goodness yes. I'd buy a few ridiculous repaints of that - does Tracks even have a repaint or redeco option from toys, comics or toon anywhere??

Edit: He totally does. BotCon 2012 Shattered Glass Red Tracks (or Road Rage), 2002 Black G1 Tracks (or Loudpedal), Alternator Yellow Tracks. Will instantly buy a little red corvette.

 

I was aware of the preorder. I didn’t say that the preorders went up now.

 

There was also a red variant of him back in the day that even got an MP release. Road Rage who is a girl despite looking almost exactly like Tracks (slightly rounder thighs and top if her chest). That's almost a guaranteed release from NA given their propensity for repaints.

Oh, and MP Loud Pedal, a black Decepticon Tracks repaint with a different face.
