Isn't it just NA copying everything MS does?
Fine though, if it forces NA to return to the 84 cast.

The only company that directly copies other legends is Mechfanstoys and jinbao.

While they may have an idea on what characters the other may be working on there is no way a prototype or render design could be done that quickly after the others reveal, it takes a long time to for design and R&D.

And they certainly don't copy each other's designs, they each take their own approach which is interesting, because you get to see multiple solutions to the same designs / problems.

Man, Newage and Magic Square are the tightest competition I\'ve ever seen. Within days of Magic Square revealing their Devastator, Newage is like, \"Oh yeah... BOOM!\" XD

Taking a closer look the render is definitely far from final, much like their Magnus.

The cuts and pins present on the legs in the prototype Are nowhere to be seen on the render, so the render is definitely older than the prototype design.

    Ladies and Gentlemen....
I propose both New Age's and Magic Square's offerings as equally perfect. I'm probably going to get both.

Its tighter than that! I took a few days for them to both got front paged.

They got revealed within an hour of each other.

seperate hands and feet is partsforming. The feet of assaultus are quite a big compromise. I am quite certainly Encourager will be as well. All in one’s make too many compromises IMO assaultus is actually the best example of that.

What's wrong with the feet, they look nice

Encourager looks insanely beautiful as a combiner, and the individual bots looks perfect as well, it's not often Combiners get bother the bots and combiner both perfect like that.

It is is subjective, but they are kinda small.

Encourager looks great but not yet released. I reserve opinions on unreleased products only on first impressions. I am not convinced there is absolutely no partsforming in there though. But again I don’t mind parts/partsforming at all in combiners.

I didn't say anything about designs.
    I was talking about characters.
You don't think NA has a one-sided competition going on with MS?

Looks good, but the increased torso detail on MagicSquare's offering puts them over the line for me, at least in these very early stages. Definitely want to see how the teams as a whole look, though, and how the QC is before I make a decision.

Also, while the rivalry is silly, I'm enjoying seeing these two companies compete against each other so directly. While I have no proof of this, I feel like it pushes them both to make their products as high quality and impressive as they can in order to one-up the competition, which works out for us in the long run (if the prices stay affordable, at least).

Since when does "kinda small" equal "quite a big compromise." No offense, but your adjectives don't add up.

DANG! Newage is just NOT letting Magic Square catch a break are they?! The second Magic Square shows off anything these days (i.e. Ultra Magnus, Shockwave, and now their Devastator) Newage comes in like a freight train to steal away their thunder and given proven superior materials and paint they most often win at the end of the day.
