What if it transforms into a pile of scrap metal?

Yeah... unfortunately that seals it for me. I just had to cancel. Magic Square it is.

It will likely have add on parts as well, just not as blatant. Likely the legs, head, wrists and chest V. Though Magic square may do something with. Say extra weapons armor or something.

Magic Square isn't much better, they're also going the same route.

So I guess you also take issue with Prime's trailer then? Since it doesn't form any part of the robot. :lol

The cartoons show it separating from him to go who knows where, so it's fine.

Ah, so partsforming pieces that transform into part of the alt mode BUT are not in the cartoon, is still considered partsforming for you. Gotcha.

yeah this time it is feeling like a little bit too much of a blatant devy suit. the least they could do is have it turn into a shipping container or dumpster.

I understand folks' desire for a stable combiner, and that for lots of folks it doesn't matter that they're getting 80% of an action figure with some transformable snap-on armor. Honestly, it's good that they get an opportunity to have that version of Devastator.

For me, this is hugely disappointing. I am willing to sacrifice aesthetics, some degree of poseability, and some degree of stability in order to lose as much combiner kibble as possible. When most of the combiner is just one big non-transformable piece? That is simply not what interests me about Transformers.

I'll see how I feel when/if we see shots of the yellow and orange repaints, simply because those are the versions I played with as a kid, and I think NewAge is more likely to produce those color schemes than other companies (present or future). I might get one or both of those just... as a nod to my childhood, I guess, but I don't think I would feel overwhelming joy looking at them.

By the way, what does "The pre-ordered bonus is a set of small size" mean? I assume there's some translation weirdness here. Are the trumpets a pre-order bonus?

Like how people get annoyed combiners using fake parts. I think is a decent trade for getting a more stable and playable piece, instead of some sloppy loose joints like my MS Menasor arms (maybe just my copies), just saying.

So your MS Menasor has loose joints? Isn't that what using a separate robot shell is supposed to prevent from happening?

While I have no problem with partsforming I didn't expect this much. Happy that Newage did show us this before releasing any bots. As I prefer the proportions of MS Devastator over the Newage I've always wanted to go MS Devastator and Newage individual bots. Now I'm contemplating if I'll get set D, would like to combine Newage at least ones even if I'll be displaying them in individual bot mode but to just get the last set for that. Think I'll let the price make the decision for me.

I think is the QC problem MS always have, some of my mate got no problems with it but you can't really mess MS Menasor around like what NA Devy show in their promotion video, everything will comes off flying around.

Yes, the translation is referring to the trumpets.

I thought about that too. I know I’ll get set D, but I’ll probably just combine it once, then transform them back into bots and have the shell in storage. Not really worth it, but I can’t convince myself to not have the complete set in case I do want to combine it some day. Sigh
