Everyone’s gotta do the light up gimmicks now. Hopefully they don’t add too much to the cost. I’ve never used them with MS Megs, NA Reflector, and I’d never use it with MS Shockwave or NA Devastator. Except maybe the light up eyes, that’s kind of cool.

New age just absolutely smashing it out of the park again.

my only wish is that they would scale with my generations stuff, but hell I might get them anyway.

What I really want to see now is MS’s devastator. Only could it be a fair comparison regarding design, quality, size, price etc. I will pick up one from those two, if not both …

Lol, I’ll end up getting both. NA and MS are both putting stuff out that’s too good to miss (for me at least). The question for me is which one will stay combined and which in individual mode?

Those pin hinges in the shoulders are a terrible idea.

Pin hinges are NewAge's achilles' heel. Both my NA Soundwave and Galvatron have floppy elbow joints because of them and I have even less confidence in that arrangement when it's holding up the weight of an entire figure, plus forearm kibble. Hopefully, they'll reconsider.

If it is just an add on with a little light I do not mind it, those do not cost much to add and we can toss them in a box.
This is going to soundboard, speaker etc, that will drive up the cost not only in materials but also the extra work for assembly.
Driving the total cost up, easy by $30/40
Cost they could have avoided, I just hope this does not become the norm in legends and just keep it to those small fish lights if they want lights so bad.

I didn’t listen to the video with sound and didn’t realize the gun makes noises! But I’d think that would only add $5-10 at most, there are tons of little cheapo toy guns that light up and make noises made in China that are like $5.

Light up gimmicks do nothing for me as they only look good when lit up. They usually make the characters have dead eyes when unlit and I end up painting them. So between that and the price definitely leaning towards magic square. Hopefully we hear more from them soon. (Would also like their damn Prowl and Smokescreen to finally come out.)

There are parts I really like like the joints and hands look very solid. But I'll take my chances and wait to see what the competition is doing before deciding. I only have so much money.

Your question was: "Where are people getting the idea that CHUG combiners are only $300? Where are you buying 3rd Party voyager sized figures for 60 bucks, including a leader sized torso bot?"

    I just answered the question.

Yeah it's expensive for what it is, but once you buy it you're done, you'll never need to upgrade imho.

I don't think another Legends Devastator will ever be as solid, have individual bots as articulated or be made of good materials like it honestly.

I thought the intent of my question was pretty clear. Also, I specifically said 3rd Party, and one of your examples was a HasTak figure.

You were clearly just looking for examples to prove me wrong, without actually considering the context and intent of what I was saying.

Yes, something I do not like makes it more like a kids toy.
Maybe it is 10 max but it will drive the price of sales up more just for a gimmick but there will always be those who love it too.
Beside all that I think those who get it will be happy and when i think about it MS Menasor also cost me $241.50 and I think it is money well spend.
A year ago I could not see myself spending that on a couple of little bots, now I do.

I paid $230 for MS Menasor, he’s listed on US sites as $290, so I’m hoping NA Devs is around the $240-250 mark from China.

But we shall see! Eh, these legends companies have me by the balls, I’ll pay up even if it’s more :lol

    $230 is still pretty high.

The two car sets go for around 200 yuan each on TaoBao, plus Motormaster at 600 yuan, so a total of 1,000 yuan, or US$157.

Shipping from China shouldn't cost $73.

lol...on the legends scene just like the larger 3p side.

there is always a new contender out there on the horizons just waiting to step out of the shadows. the second dollars are bring made.

there will be more devs that will come out after this. the combiner wars have just begun for legends. i am sure there could even be 1:1 ko's or upsizes that drops after this set for a fraction of the price. you just never know around here.

I'm not talking about KO's, talking about the real thing here. If someone bought this I doubt a better looking and well made one could top it at this point. At least nothing that would maje someone swap it out later on.

Well I mean, what are we gonna do? That’s the cheapest option we have buying these things from China. I don’t speak Chinese and don’t know if any taobao shipping rates would be cheaper.
