One way or another I do need this set for the individual modes. They're just too good. But then i need to look elsewhere for a set that combines. That is waaaaaaaaay too much combiner kibble for me.

It works with Menasor because the combiner frame becomes a very nice trailer. But I can't abide a pile of hollowed out devastator when my guys are not combined.

I see it in all the design and engineering work. The individual bots literally walked right off the screen, they did both combiner faces, lights and sounds, ratchet joints, crazy levels of articulation and range of motion for a combiner at this scale.

I get that we want stuff cheap, and wish legends were still in the $20 range, but they did not make $20 figures here. Hasbro makes $20 legends, and these piss on Hasbro legends.
This is very impressive. Still not my aesthetic, but I really appreciate how perfectly they've done the Sunbow design justice. It only took 40 years for someone to get it right.

Honestly I like new design NA Devy because it reminds me a lot on 80's g1 toy with crazy upgrade kits. Colors, materials, diecast, accessories simple look of two constructicons (Scavenger and Bonecrusher) it's really amazing but price... I think it should cost 200$ but if you can buy constructicons separately like MS stunticons would be much better solution.

I just thought of something, did they make a Scramble City Devastator? I can already imagine a Stunticon just plugin into Devastator's arm skeleton in a similar fashion to on Menasor, just without the spliting in half part

Eh, less like 40 years of engineering design work improvements, and more like 40 years to just say "F it, we're making an articulated Devastator figure----and I guess we could also sell 6 little green guys to fill in some gaps". They're just doing the "limbs with cars stuck on for decoration" Menasor approach, with Devy.

I'm not going to be surprised if we see sets A, B, and C----and then set D, which is the combiner frame.

The MS Stunticons came in two packs also. Leg bots, arm bots and then Motormaster & Skeletrailor.

    Disingenuous comparisons.

First is a boxed set re-release. All of the tooling costs have been recouped from the first run releases, which were much more than $300.

The second is a HasTak figure.

For anybody else who replied with KOs, get out of here with that nonsense.

For a NEW mold 3rd Party release, a CHUG combiner has never been $300.

I usually dislike skeleton partsformer combiners but I don't see how you can get the space to accomplish what they're going for at legends scale. Hulkie's attempt was pretty smart but it did compromise the individual bots. I would love to see someone like MMC take a crack at the same scheme with an all in one at a larger scale and TFC tread arms. But with these guys the biggest draws for me are the competent miniature bots. If I'm being honest with myself the combining aspect is just a fun secondary extra.

Regardless I really like that NA is taking advantage of the fact that he's made up of extra parts. He has extra piston details, tmechanical thigh movement, a two part ab crunch, and lots of range on the arms/legs. The low weight of the smaller obviously helps it keep stable.

They could have left the light up and sound gimmicks out of this though. I don't think they really add anything to the figure except $$$.

That shoulder being hinged on just a single pin would worry me.

I haven't put much deep thought into NA beyond the set itself, but I have done that with my TFC Devastator. There were definitely issues with the old TFC Combiners, but I loved being able to freely mix and match limbs among them since they used the same connector for all of them.

Totally agree with this. These are unnecessary gimmicks that I think appeal to such a small percentage of collectors that it's unfortunate the rest of us have to pay the premium for.

"And so the NA Devastator neighborhood was satisfied that day with their fill of a nice n juicy mold update news while the NA Prime pack may go another day of uncertainty when their next meal will come."

Looks good and all, but seriously light up eyes and gun?

I get they love their gimmicks, but I wonder how much money could be saved on that front.

But whatever, I'm not the target audience. I've already seen na as going a bit overpriced, and I hope those who get it love it. Looks great, but they should've ratcheted his arms

Everyone’s gotta do the light up gimmicks now. Hopefully they don’t add too much to the cost. I’ve never used them with MS Megs, NA Reflector, and I’d never use it with MS Shockwave or NA Devastator. Except maybe the light up eyes, that’s kind of cool.
