These look awesome.  I love the horns they made for them from the coronatioon scene from TFTM86.  Nice touch.

Normally I’m not into random accessories but the horns are just funny. It just leads to stupid shit in your mind. Like now I’m imagining the Constructicons are really just a Ska band who’s day job is muscle for an evil dude.

They should have made the front of the trumpets detachable so that Screamer can shoot them off:

And I never really caught on to the fact that the animators made the trumpet heads move like old school cartoons:

These look good. I'd like to see what the combiner parts function as besides the obvious.

For anyone who missed the announcement of combined mode height: “about 25cm.”

I really love how they handled the hip+thigh articulation with these two. The hips are pretty unconventional while still allowing the full range, and the thigh swivel lets you correct any weird angles so the rest of the legs can be posed normally. Also neat how the triangular/wedge cut on the knee gives you a double bend while keeping the treads as one solid shape. Just a cool little cluster of joints.

I recommend waiting and seeing the protos on both sides

It's looking to be a close competition between Magic Square and New age on who has the better constructicons. Both are looking good. Though Magic square's combined mode is winning it for me right now. Especially after how solid their Menasaur is.

    Personal opinion.
If you like them, you like them and get them, if not stay in the CHUG lane.
We each have our own reason for getting in to legends and compared to other third party MP sized brands, yes these legends are cheaper and save a lot of space.
I do not agree with the scale and price of NA, so I am not getting them but comparing a smaller third party brand against HASTAK, who have their own factory, by bigger bulk materials, hence it is cheaper for them to make, is just stupid.
You think 3p legends is a ripp off, you have no idea how cheap HASTAK can give you a figure and still make a decent profit but for them it is about MAX profit.

It’s a good reason to get both, one for combiner and one for individual bot modes.

This is why I just decided to stick to one brand. Despite how much I like some of MS designs it’s just easier to stick with NA. It saves me money in the long run. Technically going all in on MS would have been cheaper but there are some figures that MS made that I don’t like for example the lambo and seeker molds.

I like what Takara UW Devastator did. They colored the inside of Bone Crusher's treads purple so they look matching in combined mode. But the treads themselves are green so in robot mode his legs are properly green. That was one of my main reasons to go Takara even above the redesigned more articulated hands!
