He shows up in the product shot for their throne set:
Other than that, nope nothing yet.
And as was pointed out in the thread for the thrones, his hips don’t quite look right.
Looks like they’ve just posed/transformed him badly. Or maybe there’s some actual issue, and that’s why there’s no news because they’re reworking it. We’ll see later, but I’m not too worried.
It's a really recent shot so there's no reason to think he's being reworked at this point. And it's not just bad posing - it's where the hip joints are placed. They're below his hips like MP Rumble/Frenzy which doesn't create the best look when you pose him with legs forward (as seen in the pic).
Personally, I don't think it's a big deal. I'm a lot more forgiving of this kind of thing at legends scale and he looks great besides. Can't wait to see more.
What that throne shot DOES show, though, is that he has a much better range of outward shoulder motion than DX9 Legends Megatron. That’s a big selling point for me.
Meh, I think he looks awesome. And I’m really glad we’re getting alternate heads for him with different expressions.
We’ll see what MS does, but so far the best legends Megatron that isn’t IF. (IF will stay with the IF/IDW cons and NA with the MS/NA G1 cons)
Yeah there’s really nothing wrong with the hips considering the size and insane engineering this guy must have to get into a gun mode.
We shall see. I’m sure we’re not far off from an official look.
He'll look great in colour.
Also, I ask how many collectors display their figures sitting down ??
I can understand if this were a MP sized figure, but at this scale, it's seriously a non issue. No different than a one piece crotch flap.
Even MS legends Optimus prime has the same kinda hip joint.
And the intricacies in that figure go beyond the current level transformation or articulation for a legends figure !!
Not many, but all the excuses we want to make for size and scale aside, those are hideous, front-facing details that will be hard to ignore in person.
Not many did previously, but now NewAge has designed a $75 double throne set with one throne specifically for Megatron. I mean they seem to be planning on a lot of their customers displaying him like that.
Selling things that didn't already exist on the market.
See: legends scale bar, etc.
Considering NewAge is basically a completely different scale than what I've been collecting since getting into Legends(+), o'l no butt will have to be pretty impressive in order to sway me from buying MFT MF-0/Zero. For a line that has done nothing but impress me up to this point, I just can't fathom the reason they would design a throne that showcases a major shortcoming in one of their highly anticipated figures.
Besides Megatron are there any other Decepticons planned by NewAge?
Insecticons are releasing at the moment in a couple of variant decos and they did a Shockwave remould of Jazz (not sure of that counts or not)
NEWAGE NA INSECTICONS
New Age Cyclops
Barricade is a Decepticon
When Mft started they brought something great to legends, they brought price, better accuracy, better sizing.
For another company to start up you have to bring something, MST brought something. Newage is bringing something, and whilst that kind of blows because you like I was just getting into one thing then we have to pay attention to this other thing. I don't know the answer, different strokes, but I will say the bar is very high. And this is all happening in legends scale.
Him and the Insecticons. Undoubtedly there is already more well in the pipeline.
"Hide my hips, fleshling!"
not too souped on this one yet.
So he should have more than one face. Opened mothed and closed from the picture above...
He looks really good.
