Yeah I have Starscream and Megatron coming as my first Newage legends and I’ll trying to mostly get little guys that work with masterpiece scale like Megatron and Soundwave but I already broke the rule with Starscream

If you're wanting to stick close to MP scale, that's what NewAge is using for their bots. They're making a Soundwave, too. MST Optimus fits that, but most other MST bots don't.

But is it better than MT Meteor? It looks like it might be.

As someone that has owned both MT Starscream and MT Jazz, I think the NewAge versions beat the pants off them.

Absolutely. Hands down the best Starscream mold out there.

So are they only making the improved legs for the flat grey version? Not for ANY of the others? It's the main thing keeping me from getting the toy-silver version.

You can already pre-order each of the 4 (so far) versions of him over at TCP. I don't think there's one yet for the comic repaint yet.

So if I just want a regular Megs, I should get the legs too? Or will there be another run with the updated legs in the future?

I just got this little guy, he is really cool. Should I try to find the hip replacement? I'm pretty curious about it but I'm not looking to buy the starscream

I'm perfectly happy with mine as is. I prefer the original to the hip replacement.

Yep, the original is fine, and 99% of buyers were overwhelmingly positive about their copies of the figure before the hip replacement was announced.

But that said, there are a number of poses that, due to the original hip joint, make him look a bit weird. I also have the Newage throne set, and again the original hip joint doesn’t look good in a seated position.

There are definitely pros and cons with both hips - it’s certainly not cut and dried as to which ones are better.

And? One does not preclude the other. They fill different spots in a collection.

I’m pretty much strictly an MP collector but I bent the rules to get this guy for Constructor to hold in gun mode (so he fits my Mp display)

Except for the part about it being cheap.
