Looks like he's a mini MP-36. I hope he scales with the Hot Soldiers Prime.

 

Speculation at this point but most likely not, as NA stuff is scaled smaller than the Hot Soldiers line. My bet is that this Megatron will scale with DX9's Dutch just as the rest of NA's stuff does (as @RickyLeeSTF said above).

 

Yup, almost certainly Dutch size. Fortunately MFT is the company that started the scale that HS Optimus uses and they're a KO company. And all that that implies.

I think I might get this guy regardless of scale though. He just looks so good that I want to own him even if he's on his own. I guess it depends on price though. Bumblebee wasn't bad but Cosmos and Prowl are both more expensive and I'm cheap when it comes to legends.

 

I have my fingers crossed that he's a little taller than that so he'll look nice with the MS Prime at 12cm but that seems like a lofty dream.

Yeah I have gotten a few more Iron Factory Figures since my original statement and enjoy them quite a bit. Got a bum IF Tarn with a cracked shoulder though, so not super on the IF train because of that. Have been waiting three weeks for BBTS to ship me back the replacement Tarn. I don't know why they are taking forever.

 

well that does suck. but give IF a chance and hopefully BBTS can ship you the whole new improved arm assembly for tarn when it comes out with the next bot.

 

So apparently Newage is a new company under Dx9. So this will definitely scale with Dutch. I guess dx9 wanted another go at Megatron but didn't want to release the same character twice.

 

Where was this said? And does this mean there's a chance they'll make a new Prime to replace Dutch in their scale? That one wasn't too well recieved either, right?

 

Sorry to hear that. I’ve held off on IF’s DJD despite being insanely tempting as i’m hoping to control my collection a little.
But I’ve heard mix d reports on Tarn so you may not be the only one needing replacements.
Hopefully it works out for you.

At 11:24 on his video. Same manuals layout as dx9, same diorama as dx9 and I think Dutch is used in Newage artwork?

Plus dx9 has gone quite on the legends front then Newage started up.

as a graphic designer who likes retro / homages, i can't help but fawn over these box art! and i thought Hot Soldiers' box art for Prime was already sweet!

 

So now that almost everything from NA shown in the pictures from SGC has been seen in final form (if not actually released, such as Ironhide and Ratchet), has anyone seen anything more about this Megatron?
