Can we get a black and purple

 

That gold looks way better than I was expecting. I thought those were renders, showing off the beautiful finish. I honestly thought they would come out more like the hastak golden lagoon g1 reissues lol.

and you can see all of the legs are extended, regardless of the shin positions  

 

The purple blast effects are some kind of exclusives, right? my Megs didn't come with them  

 

Agree with @ph4zed that the gold Megatron looks better than expected. Depending what further comes out this year I might get this one as a standalone.

i know that feeling. i just finished paying 4 pre-orders (or was it 5? or 6?) from August in between getting sick, paying school fees, and service bills HAHAHA glad there is a lull at the moment. but i'm waiting for my Agamemnon as well as waiting for 2 Mazinkaiser kits - all unpaid pre-orders HAHAHA

 

I ordered both Agemenmnon and Hynkel from Robotoybase. Agemenmnon took a little more than 2 weeks to arrive, Hynkel within a week like normally with my orders from Robotoybase. Bought came with the blast effects.

If you don't receive the blast effects why do you get the adapter?

Do prefer the way they are going to include the blast effects with Starscream. Loose in a baggy gives the possibility of it not being included. Can't remember if the baggy was in the box or in the package.

i think that adapter was part of the package even before NA decided to make, and include the blast effects. it was the "mystery part" that stumped some here, yours truly included. as far as i can remember, even after the blast effects (and orange safety cap) was announced, that part remained a mystery until a Chinese video review showed what it was for.

 

Blast effect was only for the initial run, you had to preorder to get them.

 

Do the blast effect of Hasbro fit in Newage Megatron?

If not, does the "mystery" piece have another function?

 

Mine has been there for over a week as well. Maybe they took 'em out for a test run for us.

 

i don't know, i don't have my NA Megatron yet nor do I have any blast effect from Hasbro. if the pegs or pegholes from NA and Hasbro are the same, there shouldn't be any issue using them interchangeably and I hope the size of the peg / pegholes are universal. there are other more interesting blast effects out there.

as far as i can tell, "mystery piece" / adaptor serves no other purpose than attaching the blast effects to the Megatron's barrel.

What do you mean? It fits on his finger. Everybody remembers that scene where Megatron did the finger gun and shot Shockwave, right?

 

It just barely fits on the end of the gun, but falls off so easily. Pretty sure that's what it's for.

 

i though that was part of the sword (Energon based?) that Megatron used in Transformers: The Movie. the shape is similar, however it seems that it doesn't have a matching hilt.
