Nice! Mine is halfway across the country so I should be getting him on Monday or Tuesday. Now I need to get the metallic Magic Square Optimus to go with him.

Yes. I am totaly chuffed (wink) that I chose this deco over the toon. My only wish was that the face was just a little closer to the stoic yet menacing face the og toy had.

Whilst that would be great, I’ve a real hankering for them to go one step further and base it on the g1 toy rather than the toon!
I agree with whoever upthread said it would have been the icing on the cake if the metallic aggy came with a toy head too.

this bot looks so great from this angle. i just wish it didnt look so bad from every other one. i would totally buy him if he didnt have that issue in my opinion.

i pray to god MS does a premium deco this one time.

You're wierd, man. I like him from all angles. But the photo does get one thing very right, you gotta point the toes out, which makes both inner legs visible at once and makes his legs look thicker. Getting nice angles on the elbow/arms, usually with hands inward, gives him a more beefy look, since with the arms and legs straight like some people like to pose their bots (g1 toy-like I guess) is not a good look on this guy (or any other, really). But I did find some of the marketing poses NA did for this megs didn't do him any favors.

He's easily one of my favorite legends bots so far, though. Once you understand how to transform him, he's addictive, can't stop going from bot to gun, over and over.

You seem exceptionally hard to please because this Megatron is phenomenal. But to each their own. I have both version, and I absolutely love the way he looks, from all angles.

Agree and disagree. This is definitely his best pose, but he hits other ones that still look fine. I was initially on the fence whether to buy because he looked like "he was missing something". But he's got that Newage fun factor and is super fun to transform

i can be the odd man out i dont mind. but for me it is the fact that he is so thin in the torso, the upper thighs could be better and his back is fudged.

but i wont knock the deco that is fantastic. it is a nice megs for NA But not the end all.

in a side note did the metallic come with the same bonus stuff?

He doesn't seem as thin in hand and I actually like the sculpt of the legs in person. The back, however, does look like ass. Only gripe.

Mine came with the little bag of purple blast effect just like with the cartoon version.

Really like the key to Vector Sigma. Now I really want the Stunticons, don't care if it is the mythic MST ones or Newage beats MST to the punch.

And where do I get the Vector Sigma that is on the back of the box of Hynkel?

You're not the odd man out, I am with you. Still waiting for MS version which I still prefer. But I do think NA one looks pretty good too and I'd be all over it if there wasn't another option. I still love every NA bot I've had, I am sure I'd love this Megs too. But going to wait.

Every thing I thought looked questionable in pictures doesn’t bother me in hand. Even the back, it reminds me of how Megs looked from the back in All Hail Megatron.

I’ll get the MS Megatron to check him out too. But I know that he won’t have the finish that the NA version has (both toon and toy), and I really appreciate a good finish and non-vinyl plastic.

No toy is perfect, both look excellent.

Yeah, I agree. He looks weak from the back and even from the sides. And his hip joints being so low on his legs is unfortunate. I still like how he looks, though, and I chose the toy version. Probably put it on my Optimus/Megatron shelf rather than in my legends collection. I also plan on getting MST Megs but I'm not sure what I'll do with him. My collection is built around Legends+ and a tiny MST Meggy next to HS Op would look pretty silly.

Just a word of warning, those swirlies on his chest get nicked and rubbed off VERY easily. I've already had to touch up some of it with a marker. I had this same issue with Bugbite's tribal chest logo. You may want to do a protective layer of Future polish over the details.

Hm. Do you think they'd be easy to remove without damaging the silver paint underneath then? As much as I like the toy deco overall, I've never been a huge fan of the squigglies.

Yeah. Like with Bugbite, it literally rubs off with just your finger and some pressure.

You can see how BB's logo is worn away. That's from the first day I had him and tested how strong the decal paint was.

Finally got my Agamen-MUH-non yesterday and got to transform it back and forth just once so far. I'm absolutely in awe at the transformation sequence (Tho' I did break a sweat transforming back to robot mode because I didn't have a video to guide me)! It's genius but at the same time it makes so much sense that you have to wonder why it has never been done this way before (as far as I know. I could be wrong :p ) The back does look a little sparse, and the sculpt looks weird when you do poses with twists at the waist. But those can be forgiven in light of every-awesome-thing else.

We'll see who's ready for the scrap heap!
