Hopefully someone knocks them the f off. Those prices are bonkers.
I don't collect Legends stuff though I have ordered NA's Megatron and MS's Optimus for my Leaders shelf. Just may have to pick these up to go with them!!
They're up for pre-order at Show.z. Price is a little more reasonable. Pic shows the weathered version so I assume thats what you get.
They also have the Decepticon set B up for pre-order, again, in the weathered look:
They posted two new pictures on their Weibo:
Can't wait . Been waiting for a set like this for MP's but now, I get one for 1/3 of the price for my legends
It looks nice but it just doesn't look like $50 to me. Megatron gets that much for his parts count and engineering but these are just solid hunks of plastic. Why the hell are they so expensive?
Size might have something to do with it. Look how dwarfed Ratchet and even Prime are. These set pieces are actually fairly big. Between the pieces, there's probably 15-20 times more plastic than NA flipper, 5-10 times more plastic than Megs, so it's trading materials for labor, maybe. (my guesses are just that, how many jelly beans in teh jar, and there are always more than people think when it comes to volume Unless they're super hollow, but it's hard to know.)
IDK. I think at $75 its over priced. Closer to $50 seems more reasonable to me, which is just a few dollars more than I paid plus your not just getting the computer but a medical table too.
I think I was able to justify it more by the fact that X2's Big Computer was at $180 with no other accessories (just a tiny tv screen built in) and even at the lower sale price of $120 or so was still overpriced to me, especially if you went the repro decals route to give it some life, assuming you didn't use the electronics. Then you were at around $150 or more.
Also, just thought of this. The walls, depending on size, can cost around $18-30 and that probably doesn't even get you a good room size display either. Just throwing all that out there but I definitely agree when comparing to figures that the cost seems insane but I feel like you have to dig deeper to see why, as @Spffy pointed out a few points there as well.
They also mentioned in their post that the marbling effect for the Lincoln Memorial throne will be random so that no two pieces will be the same.
Here's their post, according to Google Translate:
Although it is a little late, but the process is sublimated, the stone texture is random, no one is the same, in order to completely restore the original material.
Getting the Ark set for sure. It will work great in my Ark Diorama I'm working on. Wish it was a little cheaper. My place has it for $74.99
just give it time and this will get knocked for a much cheaper price.
were are talking about simple injection mold with no moving parts. whatever robot that is making these could probably knock out 5000 a day without breaking sweat.
Because every throne has a unique pattern, and because I’m a NewAge completist, it therefore means that I will have to buy every single copy of that throne in order so that I have every design variant that exists.
Sorry people, they are all mine, you can’t have one.
Acouple more pictures from their Weibo page. Looks like they are reposting a review. They only thing that caught my eye is that the review was disappointed that the surgery table is too tall for NA Ratchet.
Which might mean it will work for IF or Magic Square figures.
Here is the pics:
Maybe they can do a set of footstools as well!
Looks like the table lowers? Looks like a tab to lower it anyway. Weird that NewAge Ratchet wouldn’t scale with scenery built by NewAge...
PS Even lowered I’m not sure Prowl could see over it...
Quick, someone break out the holy scale chart for the med bay table
I'm pretty sure the table elevates and lowers at the base as others have noted.
Minibots have been at a disadvantage since 1983. Just give them step ladders. Duh!
And who would want to be on a double size bed when you can lay and die on a king size one.
Luckily Prowl doesn't need to see over it. He just needs to be able to flip it.
I am kind of disappointed Ratchet looks so tiny in comparison. It's not a deal breaker for me but still a small let down. Some clever positioning of the table could hide any sort of prop to give him some height to work.
Maybe there's a hidden feature: flip out step stool. LMAO XD
Man I’d love a chug sized set. Does anyone with these mind posting a few pics with some chug scale stuff?
Totally forgot these thieving jackasses ripped off the literal screen artwork from my Teletraan. Just saw this again in an ad from TFSource. Just a friendly reminder that these unoriginal morons not only stole IP from Hasbro, but from one of your fellow collectors whose work many fans have used over the years for free in their displays.
