I actually prefer the yellow eyes on OP because it reminds me of Marvel G1. Anyways, since the official descriptions mention the Allspark, I'll say that I always knew it wasn't straight G1. Also, Tech Spec Decoders are back! And I'm sure Roller will be a Micromaster.

 

The rear wheels on the legs don't flip around anymore, so I'm guessing the calves are going to look hollow; the inner sides of the legs aren't very pleasing to look at.

 

I’m a fan of the classics figure, but I have to admit that the Earthrise Grapple looks very tempting. Maybe I’ll say Grapple and Grappel are separate characters  

 

I’m sure it will be. I thought about saying something about that in my post but I didn’t even realize it was a rumor. Seems more like a given considering it’s a pretty big omission and the current designers are pretty good about including EVERYTHING and are hitting all the marks whether it’s the main characters or the obscure shit. We’ll get a roller, for sure.

 

God damn, Hasbro just keeps gutting all my CHUG figures one by one with better replacements. I’d like to wait until an Inferno is revealed, but god damn does Grapple look perfect.

Optimus is cool too and is probably the Prime I’m looking for, but the annoying yellow eyes and grey crotch/thighs are disappointing. I really thought they’d stick with the cartoon-accurate blue and white respectively.

 

So I have Siege Optimus, I’ve got the Cell shaded recolor on preorder, and I’ll be getting this one as well.

I’m just hoping if we get another Megatron it’ll be something besides a Tank.

Earth modes aside, the figures should all look great together in robot mode.

 

Relevant to that - If you get Earth Rise Optimus at Target, while there you can also get a little jar of Hand Made Modern acrylic paint and some brushes to give him light blue eyes in about 10-15 minutes.

 

Agreed, I really appreciate them for actually doing it for real this time and not adding a bunch of childish gimmicks like crazy guns or other random junk that ends up in the trash or a bits box.

 

The wheels on the legs don't flip around anymore, you have to flip aroung the waist for vehicle mode. The inner sides of the legs don't do anything, and they kind of look bad; I'm guessing the cavles aren't gonna look good anymore.

Price.
Many people want show-accurate figures at more reasonable prices. MPs are far too expensive for many. This figures do the job nicely.
That said, I’m passing on Prime and Grapple. Trailers are useless to me so I’m not paying $50 for a (minorly-upgraded) Voyager, and SS Grapple is still good enough for my collection.

 

I still think Star Saber is a better choice.
He's a fan-favourite, he's an easy retool of Jetfire, he's from late G1 just like the Micromasters, has a base mode that the Micromasters can use, Victory Leo checks all the boxes for a potential Weaponizer, and Countdown already got a toy in Omega Supreme.

 

Yes (though i wouldnt mind a Hero Optimus Prime at all!) I am far more amazed that we get a ton of tank Megatrons but none that really look like the G2 leader Megatron at all.

Thanks. I'm confused, though - I watched Emgo's review of Omega, and he said the connection clips were not TR compatible.

 

Preferably with Hi-Q/Ginrai being included. (Also would love it if they didn’t give him those awful fake windows that all the other Powermaster OP knockoffs have had)
