drift straight up has car parts on his back. nice.
I take it this is where Prime Drift got his colors.
A bit weird seeing DotM art mixed in with AoE.
A backpack made of folded leftover car bits is so toy-like it's remarkable.
... then there's the rest of him.
Well I guess now we know why RiD 2 Drift is randomly orange and black.
If I recall correctly, this was suppose to be his movie colors but the production team had difficulty finding two Veyron's with the same color scheme. It is mandatory to have two of each vehicle for filming.
I thought it was because of TFA samurai Prowl, myself.
Happy to see more of that red Trax. Also, that Cybertron scene was truly majestic.
We've seen concept art of Drift in orange and black before now, though.
I'm always interested in more Concept Art, especially when they give us a better look at something, like the Creators ships. But ones that just look really cool like the ones of Cybertron and the Knight Ship are also good.
Interesting, so they CAN look worse.
As I recall, according to the bonus features/commentary tracks, the original designs were based on the orange-and-black Veyron, but then it was sold midway through production so they changed color schemes to match another, more available model.
Where did you find these?
they said in the AOE special features that the cars were actually sold off before filming started, which forced them to use the blue cars instead
Interesting, that we never saw this tentacles on Creators ships in space, they release them only during harvesting metal. And also in the Film ships are slightly asymmetrical. Maybe that's because with this tentacles and big head the ship reminds quintesson's silhouette from cartoons!
Yeah, I wish more people picked up on that design element of the ships.
Instead everyone's all "Do you think The Creators will be the Quintessons?" and I'm just sitting here in a corner by myself like "Um, they already ARE the Quintessons," lol.
Awesome concept art of the space vistas.
I think I like Drift's concept here more than the final product. The only thing is the color scheme. Conflicts too much with Bumblebee's "evasion" colors.
