Some Older Roku Devices, Smart TVs Won't Play Netflix After December 1 | Digital Trends So first they lose Disney shows, then wb, then they will lose universal shows and now they won't work on older roku's or smart tvs next year. (but others sites will) Man Netflix is on a roll!
Not sites, apps. And this is a fairly normal part of software life cycles. I mean it’s a pisser and I don’t blame anyone for feeling shorted or angry but eventually the hardware stops being able to handle the software.
And this is why I use Hulu now. Back in my day Netflix had EVERYTHING from every Network. Now it's like an ocean that became a river.
It's not like Hulu is immune to this sort of thing. They literally dropped support for stuff earlier this year: Hulu Is Ending Support Most for DVD & Blu-ray Players - Cord Cutters News
I'm thinking that some people responding in this thread don't understand how technology works. Eventually the software becomes to advanced for older hardware. This happens constantly with tech.
Not sure. Though it looks as though it still works on the PS3 which is an older system than the Wii. That said the Wii was never a system on par with the ability of the PS3. The PS4, which came out two years after the Wii is still supported as well. As does the Wii U. Edit: A quick Google showed that Netflix stopped supporting back in January of this year. Not suprised honestly.
