I hope with all this talk of Beast Wars in this show Tarantulas is actually the one talking and not Shockwave.
One thing I just noticed about the tigatron thing a few weeks ago on the Mandy page of beau Marie it said that he would be voicing tigertron
now it doesn’t even mention it
I’m pretty sure this confirms it
The whole 'toon accuracy vs toy accuracy discussion has now come full circle. And it's another WTF reaction from me.
Since the days of G1, all we ever wanted was for the toys to look how they did on TV. Now, we've reached a point where the toys engineering can make it possible, to have toys that look that good, that they're able to translate directly to the screen. As children we used our imaginations to have our toys come to life as we played with them, well, this new Netflix series is doing it for us! It's frikkin' Toy Story but with Transformers! And still! people complain.
"They look clunky" "They even have the kibble" "Glorified stop motion" "It's too distracting" "Megatron's lips"
It shouldnt surprise me, people were throwing fits because the Earthrise Optimus promo had him with gray fists.
Personally im excited for the series, Im digging the animation, no problems with the voice acting, at this point I want the story to be awesome
I mean I agree with you. But I've been on these boards since 2002 (so hard to believe) and if there's one constant it's that people here love to bitch. They are never happy. And even when there is semblance of a unified agreement there's always the "I'm sure I'm the only one, but" which yields to the minority making a lot of noise.
If you look at the reactions outside of this board, these trailers are getting a lot of love.
It's not getting a free pass from me though. If the pacing is as bad as Combiner wars, I'll be pretty sad. Prime Wars was an improvement so maybe they've learned some things. But to compare this to Energon and say that it was better than WFC is a desperate attempt be the loudest negative voice.
that sounds really cool.
I feel a little attacked lol. But no for real I really want to enjoy this thing, especially since the toy line has been absolutely superb, but for some reason none of it is really meshing with me, and it hasn't since its reveal.
Big difference. Not liking something is not bitching. It's simply not liking something. I still think the comparisons to Energon are kinda insulting to Polygon because that was some terrible animation back then and it came post Beast Wars.
But nah. Not attacked. Disliking something is just as acceptable as enjoying it. But calling something garbgabe or insulting the developers without having seen the full product is another thing. Haven't seen you do that.
Don't feel attacked! As long as you aren't dropping by and saying "sucks. Not watching" and then promptly leaving, your opinion is welcome. You stated your stance, put out supporting arguments, and are willing to watch the show to confirm. It very well may be disappointing, but at least you're not "cancelling" it before even watching it. I think the people @Prowl is talking about are a very different (and very real) group of people.
We live in a day and age where there is a shortage of people who can think critically. Based on how you're approaching this, I don't think you're part of the problem.
Oh, I know.
Exactly. Couldn't have said it better myself because... I couldn't lol.
Ah okay, just making sure lol. I'm very used to my opinion being shat on if it's not in line with the general consensus.
Back on topic: Maybe it's the lack of promo material or hype, but I'm unusually neutral on this show...so far.
I am very curious about the story.
I hope that the show will be good but I have no real reason to believe it will be good.
I fear that the show will be bad, but I have no real reason to believe it will be bad.
Regardless, as a TF fan, I will watch every episode.
(I find it absolutely mind-boggling when people go out of their way to wish failure on TF projects. It's petty and simply makes no sense to me.)
Yup agreed. One thing that would help is watching an unedited scene. It would be a way to check the pacing and dialogue. Combiner Wars had very bad dialogue but also delivery. This was written in part by someone who wrote for Agent Carter. A pretty great show. And from a recent interview it sounds like the voice director was a real beast (good for Us). Lol
how do i post a thread? i am new
You go on the boards choose any one of them
then once you do that on the right corner it says create thread
when you do that you can type whatever you want you can add a poll or whatever just don’t repeat another person’s thread and follow the rules
You beat me to it.
You just did
Do you guys think that they’re going to announce the rest of voice cast during sdcc?
because there is a lot of voices left
Characters dont have to speak.
