My biggest pet peeve is the prevalence of reused character models. I feel like it's probably confusing to newer viewers and it just screams budget constraints.

I agree with you. But that requires a huge budget, which these creators clearly do not have.

Did I seriously just watch Optimus Prime beg Megatron for forgiveness before failing to blast him?!

Earthrise is even worse than Siege. With the primary problem being Optimus having multiple opportunities to end Megatron but..... not taking them. Because reasons.

And Megatron talks slow as hell.

TF is a big money maker, everyone wants in on the action. They either play it "safe" and keep everything familiar and throw in a few Easter Eggs as a nod to the OG TF world, or create a whole new TF world and risk losing the entire TF fan base.

I have to separate my critical brain from the series in order to enjoy it on any level, because taken on actual merit, this series is so bad it borders on parody.

That said, I did like it more than the original series, but that's like saying you prefer to have an arm blown off with a shotgun than cut off slowly. With a spoon.

I've had a good chuckle as everyone here has dissected it, but I think the biggest problem with this show is that they simply didn't think it through. Now we have an "edgy" G1 take that sucks, we ain't gonna get another attempt, mostly because they've blown their wad on the amazing toys we've had this year, so with nowhere else to go for pure G1 nostalgia, this is the end so far as I can see.

Hasbro should have thrown some real money at this, picked up some decent writing talent and produced something worthwhile. It might have then prompted some demand for reissues down the line, but as it is, it's just sad.

I honestly thought Cyberverse did a better job, with a similar storyline (especially the bots and cons teaming up), and it was edgy too, with some parts like Megatron beating Starscream to death, etc). The bit I liked in this show was when the Quint cut the other faces off (but why would it kill Death and the other "bad" faces?), but overall, it seemed to repeat the same conversations and situations in each episode.

I got the impression that they wanted to tell a bigger story, couldn't do so, and ended up having to spread a smaller story between each episode, necessitating S...L...O...W... dialogue and camera work to make it fit into the already limited time for each episode.

It’s literally the only way to enjoy this schlock.

Well, it’s not like I’m paying extra to watch it, so.... Hope one day they get it right. Cyberverse sure fills that need more than this series.

Here, try this. Expressive animation, amazing voice acting, and writing which starts out serviceable and only improves as they get a feel for the characters and universe.

There's a reason many consider this the best TF series ever made.

Niiiiiiice, can’t go wrong with BW.
Funny thing, I never could get into the figures for this, but love the show.
.....it’s kinda the exact opposite of this WfC series. Lol
Love the figures! The show, though....

I went back and looked at the voice directors for some of my favourite series compared to WFC, and now I wish Susan Blu or Jamie Simone could come back to be voice director's again some day.

The voice work in Siege/ER is the weakest I’ve ever witnessed in any TF series. The only voice that’s actually good might be Bumblebee’s. It’s evocative of the character, plus he has some of the “better” lines in the series.

I actually liked it. I thought it was better than Seige and it definitely made me excited for Kingdom. I had low expectations and it definitely exceeded them so that’s good. I just wish it had been better than Cyberverse. Even though I liked it, the fact that Cyberverse told a better Quintesson story means I’ll always kind of see it as disappointing. At least it was better than all of Prime Wars and Seige. This is my first post, so glad I finally made an account

I had hopes for this due to the amount of characters they were attempting to put in but it's not shaping up right for me. One of the strongest concepts of the TF universe was that each of these characters had distinct personality differences, even the guys who didn't get much screen time. Here they they give personality depth to maybe 5 characters total and everyone else is like a carbon copy of everyone else. I also dont like this approach of trying to make Megatron a likeable villain with purpose. He cares so much about the inhabitants of cybertron but then he's basically killing bots for energy like the Matrix (Keanu movie version, not TF version. I was hoping this would be my favorite series behind G1 but that spot still goes to TF Prime for now.
