Just finished binge-watching the series and decided I would share my thoughts.

What I liked:
- The fact that characters such as Cog and Hound were semi-predominant and didn't just show up, say a few lines, and then get killed.
- I really liked how some of the characters had unique backgrounds such as Jetfire and Ratchet.
- Impactor starting off as a Decepticon and then changing his views. RIP
- The background scenery and character animation.
- I thought for the most part the voice cast was good, especially Megatron and Starscream.
- The Soundblaster joke about being a failed shockwave experiment and using a logo similar to the Earthrise Mercenary logo.


What I didn't like:
- Optimus Prime; I didn't like how they handled his personality and wished that it was closer to his G1 self. No offense to the voice actor, but I wish they had not tried to match Cullen's G1 voice.
- Bumblebee
- The fact that we see Astrotrain several times in the last episode, but was just walking with no explanation as to who he is and why he's there.
- Who were Optimus, Megatron, and Ultra Magnus supposed to have fought against in the past together.
- How is the "Spoiler" Ultra Magnus toy supposed to supposed to fit in series? I didn't buy the figure, but was hoping they would explain why the toy came with Rung.
- Not a whole lot of humor.


Overall, I really enjoyed watching the series and thought it was fun. I enjoyed the Seige toyline and wish we would get some of those crazy repaints in a three-pack.

 

The blade is blue in the show

 

Wheeljack uses Cog's rifle and Elita-1 uses Ultra Magnus' gun in a couple scenes too.

And yeah while they are filled, you can still make out the ports, is what I meant.  

 

I know right!, My guess is there will be either a Semi Bullshit explanation or a "they were there the whole time" explanation for Hoist, Grapple, Sunstreaker, Trailbreaker, Bluestreak, Smokescreen, Ironworks, and CJ when they get introduced in the Earthrise Chapter.

Spoiler Magnus was their way of doing the battle-damaged Magnus, except they didn't remold the shoulders. With the context of the show, I'd say rung is supposed to represent the virus Shockwave used Magnus' body as a tuning fork with.

 

Funny you mention Blade Runner, what with the Tannhauser Gate reference that crops up.

Nope, there were like, 100 Identical Refraktors, no Scrapface.

 

Ironhide and Hound should have had their voices swapped.

 

Didn't the Hasbro panel say Hotlink would do something amusing? Didn't see that.

Is Arcee a waifu? Seems a bit, um, different compared to Elita-1.

There were so many recolors, who knows.

 

I actually really like Elita. She wasn't afraid to call Prime out when she thought he was being rash and an aft.

I can't believe I'm gonna say this. Pretty sure this would shock the hell out of a few board members here.......I actually like this version of Arcee.

I got where Impactor and Jetfire were coming from.

In my opinion, Impactor went out a hero.

I cannot wait to see Jetfire and the Bots kick Con aft, as a team.

Megatron is just pure, narcissistic evil. I was actually kind of bored with him and Starscream. However, loved Thundercracker and Skywarp.

I barely recognized this Optimus. Rash decisions, getting his aft handed to him. I hope to see that confident, inspiring Leader soon.

Magnus, oh Magnus. Your intentions were good.You found out critical information, and warned the Bots in time.

I don't care how, but an alive Mirage HAS to meet and have scenes with an equally alive CJ.
An alive Swipe has to have a reunion (and Jet Judo) scene with Sunstreaker.

Jazz needs to show up, in style, with Blaster. Maybe aboard Cosmos?  

Can someone please tell me if that was Teletran-One sounding an alert in the very last scene?

It’s not the best Transformers show.... yet
But I loved what I saw from the 6 episodes, it had a Star Wars Rogue One vibe. Some really action sequences(the stand out being the aerial fight with Jetfire and the seekers), but I hope the hand to hand combat gets better in the next Chapter.

There seems to be a lot of confusion about how the Spoiler Pack Ultra Magnus fits in to all this. When I got the figure, I realized that Magnus wasn't the spoiler, he is pictured on the box after all. Battlefield Rung might have been the spoiler, but his name is right on the box, albeit in Cybertronian, and the box clearly says (in five Earth languages), "Spoilers Inside." The spoilers are what was written in Cybertronian on the inside panel of the box:
