Siege was good. Not perfect, but not nearly as bad as some people make it out to be.

 

I know they are just background filler bots, but I kinda want a gray Ironhide defense bot now.

 

So much negativity. Some of us liked Siege but what can you expect from a fandom that venerates Animated and G1 Season 2, mocks anyone who tries to keep some sort of vehicle scale in their collection.

How about living and let living? If people like something you don't, show some maturity and don't immediately jump on a bandwagon.

 

You know it did have the innovative concept of having all of these Transformers transforming off screen so your imagination could fill in how they transformed.
I guess that's pretty good.

It did build up tension in the viewer by making it seem like time was running out for the Autobots but then showed them slowly walking all the time -everywhere.
I guess that's pretty good.

It did introduce Optimus Prime's "Swishing Hips Stripper Walk".
I guess that's pretty good.

It did make the bold decision to hire voice actors who never seemed to have had a conversation in English before.
I guess that's pretty good.

It also introduced the concept of The Allspark having the magic power to change everyone's lives once they hear it.
Every time someone said "The Allspark" the person who heard it immediately changed his life.
Shockwave said it to Megatron, Megatron changed his entire war tactic.
Magnus said it to Prime, Prime decided not to save everyone, but to start looking for it.
Prime said it to Wheeljack and Wheeljack decided to turn on the Allspark finding machine that they've always had but never used.
Prime said it to Ratchet and Rachet gave up his pacifism and joined Optimus and the Autobots.
So, yeah, magic Allspark is new and good.

 

We've had people in this board eager to call "putrid fucking shit, crap made by hacks" and other blatantly acidic vitriol at stuff like cartoons and movies, with no one ever going "p-please guys dont be mean to this cartoon, so negative!!"

Why is it only an issue now? Why can't people call Siege crap if they think it's crap but they were allowed to call the movies crap, the unicron trilogy crap, animated crap, prime crap, RID2015 crap and more?

 

Everyone's already brought up the comments about the lack of an actual Earth and Earth vehicle modes in a trailer for Earthrise. The way this show is paced I wouldn't be surprised if the Autobots and Decepticons don't end up on Earth until the very last episode...and probably on prehistoric Earth as a segue into Kingdom. I wonder if they're doing this to avoid having to deal with humans, but then how do you figure out the Earth vehicle modes? Then again, all these CGI streaming TF shows have had difficulty implementing their gimmicks.

I wasn't expecting we'd get to see as much of Cybertron, but it's nice that those 'Bots haven't been forgotten about and we have Jetfire (and Bumblebee) with the Autobot symbol. I guess it'll culminate in Megatron and the Nemesis heading into space to find the Ark.

So we've got Doubledealer and the mercenary faction...is this going to lead to more Prime guilt-tripping? I hope not.

Wait, are we getting Shattered Glass? That was one thing I was disappointed Cyberverse never got to, so that should be cool. Not sure how there would be inexplicable, plot relevant, doubles of Bumblebee and Wheeljack otherwise.

Siege trailer got me excited. This was kinda meh.
As much as fun as I had with Siege, it had its flaws because of its very obviously limited production.

On that note, what is it with HASBRO and going all cheapskate on us lately? First RID, CYBERVERSE and now this trilogy? 
It's so bad some of us starting to want all the humans back 

 

The "doubles" are Bugbite and Exhaust. They are mercenaries and have nothing to do with shattered glass. Exhaust doesn't even have wheeljack's head they just used it here because of laziness

 

Oh. I could see that being kind of confusing...

Won't be bothering with this show anymore, but I can't for the life see why Hasbro would ever think that this is the "definitive war for cybertron story"

If Hasbro's idea of a definitive story on how the war started on Cybertron is an edgy fanfiction tier written show I don't know what to think.

my theory behind this is that rigging a characters mouth for lip sync takes time and you can make "canned" animation for mouth shapes. So to cut down on development time they took an existing face and only did the changes that would not effect animation.
