I hear the people who animated Castlevania are doing this. So the artwork will be amazing. Crossing my fingers the story will be just as good.

Not that I've seen. His Daredevil was lame and derivative, and his Green Arrow wasn't great, either. His Black Cat was freaking dire. Almost every line of dialogue was cringy, unclever sex humor. Roger Moore James Bond would roll his eyes at Smith's bad double enetendres.

Yeah DD and BC were in retrospect pretty bad, I'm not even going into his Batman stuff. While the guy is a huge fanboy, I hope he gets people who really get the source material to help him steer the boat. As it is, I'd much rather we get a sequel to the 200X MOTU series.

I can't help but think, Kevin Smith, directing an anime, based on an 80's cartoon, taking place directly after the cartoon, is a bad idea.

First able, Kevin Smith? What? Did all the animation directors on the planet, turn this down? Was he the only person who returned their phone calls?

Anime? Well that carries a very broad definition. Anime style? Well, there are like hundreds of those. Which one? Or, Anime, as in, they thought it sounded cool? But, it's really just a fancy word for cartoon? I mean, technically, even the She-Ra cartoon, everyone is complaining about, is still anime. Hell, Teen Titans Go is also anime. Does it just mean it's animated in Japan? AKA outsourced to Japan, then outsourced to Korea?

Why have it take place after the 80's cartoon? Or, better yet, why have it have ANYTHING to do with it? It's been like 30 years! It was a cartoon made mostly out of stock footage! Why not just start over, and make a new one?

This whole thing smells like a really bad idea. Explains why it's a Netflix exclusive, though.

Have you watched any of she-ra?
Incase you haven’t, the first series (all I’ve seen) has been centred on forming a rebellion. and she-ra transforms using an ancient power source that seems to do whatever the plot requires.

Oh my god how are you this dense? Hordak isn't real, I hope you know this, the cast of She-ra is also a rebellion with magic stuff, and also most if not ALL fantasy media aimed at children is about kids, teens and/or young adults stopping evil wizards. I don't know why this isn't getting through to you.

Art style of He-Man 80's series is the most beautiful and iconic thing, characters design as He-Man,Skeletor,Evil-Lyn and Teela, with their bodies proportions and barbarian or mystic light clothes perfectly show how they took inspiration by Conan old books.
So they should continue with a very similar thing with design and dresses but render plots a lot more mature and barbarian without need to add blood everywhere and exaggerated things, just leave a lot of campy light Fimation plots and creating something much similar to Conan scenario tales.
And Filmation with He-Man and Ghostbusters toon designs were great, new studios could continue so,to appeal mature fans.

    1) Kevin Smith is the right age, has a built in fanbase and will do some PR if not bring in his own fanbase.

    2) More people are familiar with the Filmation story

    3) Cause “Anime” is trendy.

But prince adam may be in the full series. This isn't the first time he-man or she-ra lost their swords and spend the adventure as adam or adora. Even the 2002 series did two episodes around this. Teela is tied to greyskull and will take over as it's guardian in the future so it makes sense she is sent to fetch it while adam and the masters fight elsewhere.

Orko could even go with her. Sounds like both stories will be going on at the same time.

    Some teela based episodes.

    Sword is lost episode--

    Orko in greyskull episode-

Yeah the horde ruled the planet plus he-man fought the horde without she-ra in the mini comics, books and marvel comics as well.

The old He-man series had models they used so they could rotoscope some of the most reused scenes

So can we expect all the characters to be voiced by view-askewniverse actors?

I remember some people from Mattel pointed out that the "Anime" element of 200X didn't catch the interest of their target audience. I could be wrong, but if this is true then I hope Revelation having an anime-style will help it out.
