100% agreed that we need more of it. So, call to action: buy the figures, write up a script, and film that bad boy! I believe in you!

(I'd do it myself but my figures are currently in storage...) ;)

missing the point of the show again, but yes He-Man is pretty much in every episode as is He-Man.

another fun season I must say and I'm looking forward to when they get around to another.

I just realized, a Batman The Brave and the Bold style series but with He-Man characters would actually be a perfect direction for the franchise. Ensemble cast, everyone gets episodes to shine alongside He-Man, a rotating cast of villains, and telling all kinds of wacky, cheesy stories while still being able to have multiple episode arcs or subtle season long arcs. They could even adapt and modernize mini-comic stories.

Not for this continuity, no. Just a hypothetical different series.

Wasn't that more or less 200X's formula?

You know it might have been, now that you mention it. I haven't watched that show in forever, so I don't really remember it that well.

I still don't understand the whole opener of this series? They went down to the underworld to rescue the souls of Fisto and Clamp Champ, got in a huge fight with Scare Glow, then they leave, sealed the entrance to the underworld, and are like "Great job everyone!". Great job with what? Near as I can figure they didn't accomplish what they went there to do.

Didn't they get the clamp and fist? I thought that's what they were looking for. I'll have to rewatch it.

They did accomplish it. You even see the spirits of Fisto and Clamp Champ in the final battle.

I finished watching this last night and I have to say that I enjoyed Revolution much more than Revelations. Not that I had many issues with Revelations the way some did, but this particular show aligns more with what I hoped to see personally in an 'adult' MOTU series. Hopefully, they have another season lined up because it would be a shame if those stingers at the end of the finale never get followed up on.

Well no, actually. Many, many movies that aren't tied to other movies/TV shows do it. That's a common way to introduce characters. Characters usually know each other and what they're about before they're introduced to the viewer. Many of character are introduced with no explanation of their past involvement with protagonists or antagonists.

Well, Revolution was performing in the Top 10 for nearly a week before being pushed off the list (six days, to be exact). So performance wise, that's not bad. Masterverse sales remain to be seen, but given what collectors will shell out for high quality figures, regardless of whether or not they care about the specific media they're associated with, I'd say another addition to the Revelation/Revolution continuity is all but guaranteed.

For the record, this is a significantly better overall performance than Revelation, which only managed three days in Top 10 with Part 1 and didn't even break overall Top 10 with Part 2 (but was in Kids Top 10, somehow).

Definitely much better than Revelations, having He-Man around was a huge improvement, as well as giving Teela her own thing to do instead of stealing all the spotlight.
I still wish we got more focus on the preexisting characters instead of Andra and I'll probably never get used to see a competent Orko, but we can't have everything.
I'm more optimistic about the future of the franchise now.

Revolution was really good, but I wish it had been giving 10 episodes.

Still going through the new season, but digging how it takes advantage of the various different universes if mythos when it's obvious this doesn't work as a straight Filmation sequel
Such as mixing the Keldor origin of Skeletor and having the original mini-comics "Interdimensional Alien Being" origin as a false memory.
Also really digging that this is the first media Hordax that feels like the muscled-up Vampire being that the original MOTU toy seemed to be.
It's also making me consider that action figure of Mother Board they have, though the nearly $70-75 MSRP price after taxes stays my hand for now.

Finished it. It was good, better than the last. Like anything, wasn't perfect,
I think Hordak and the main Horde baddies went down way too quickly for instance
but I can see myself rewatching this season as it's own thing over the last one. If there's another one, I'll look forward to it.

Glorified toy commercial just like War for Cybertron. Nothing was fleshed out and I hate that Scare Glow was a total push over lmao. How come battle cat didn't get a new armor? Man of War's suit was pretty cool and reminded me of Lord Drakkon for some reason. Did they borrow he man's new emblem from the cgi show or was that long established from the comics or something? Speaking of, I oughtta finish that show as well.

I have to go back and rewatch it again but wasn't it based off of the old battle damage armor He-Man from the '80s line?
