Beast Machines exists

 

Only watched the first episode this morning, but gawd, are the voices awful for the Maximals and Predacons.

 

Unfortunately.

I hate that dinobot died in kingdom. Kinda spoiled BW for my wife because we were watching BW at the same time and she seems to think things that happened in Kingdom will happen in BW such as Tigatron and Airazor being a thing. I hate that such an inferior show spoiled Dinobots death for my wife.

 

Kingdom is kingdom and BW is BW. Whatever sins Kingdom may have done does not ruin the original cartoon for me.

 

She's also typically pretty cynical/sarcastic.

If they were going to make it romantic she'd kiss the lips not the cheek. Stop projecting your hangups/fantasies on a toy commercial.

That makes no sense. If *she* thinks they're the same that's on her. It's like if I assume Ironhide always dies or Sentinel is always a bad guy because I only watched the Bayverse.

 

Yeah, I didn't really take it as romantic/sexual. It seemed kind of sarcastic to me.

 

Yep. The only reason anyone is freaking out is because they're already predisposed to disliking it and IDW doing a bunch of same sex relationships has them on the lookout for windmills to tilt at.

 

I actually liked it, and not just because it trashed most of the BW characters.

BW Megs: from "yeeeesss" to "yes original Megatron! Please let me lick your boots!" Hilarity.

Blackarachnia actually had a good voice and played a good role. Fav beast!

Dinobot... did the Dinobot thing, but without Shakespeare. Meh.

Liked that they gave Starscream an interesting new role as the unexpected " oh s**t Unicron is coming we better stop our petty war!" doomsday prophet.

Glad Nemesis Prime and Galvatron weren't just Easter eggs in earthrise. Optimus reformatted as Nemesis? Sweeeet...

It's cannon now! Ark transformed!

 

Yeah, I was willing to ignore this (just like most of your posts) until this line. Stop attacking others from what they see in a show.

 

He meant spoiled as in "revealed plot details from the original." His wife learned of things to happen in the original because WFC shamelessly ripped them off homaged them just kinda shit its pants and threw 'em in.

Where's the dislike button on this thing...

 

I remember. With things being changed in this iteration no dragon Megatron  

 

Now that we're into the topic of Beast Machines, while Kingdom's take on BW Megatron sucks and is easily the worst incarnation of the character, at least it didn't go to the levels of BM of getting 90% of the cast wrong.

(Funnily enough, you could say that BW Megs in BM was portrayed fine in comparison by saying that his whole obsession with technology was just an excuse to take over the whole planet more easily).

 

This show, like the others, is so weird and bad. FJ DeSanto is a cancer on this franchise and shouldn't come within a light year of it again.

I sincerely believe he never saw a single episode of Beast Wars. I legit believe he just perused TFWiki and did what he wanted.

 

Also the contrast between how awful Kingdom is and how amazing Masters of the Universe: Revelation is, couldn't be more jarring.

Hasbro, take notes. Do Transformers Generation 1: Revelation - a "serious" continuation miniseries of the G1 cartoon. Not, whatever the hell this was.

 

My reading comprehension varies, but to alter my post. Sure Dinobot makes a heroic sacrifice similar to the events of code of hero. But the circumstances are different. Plus he wasn’t with the maximals this time around.

 

Is optimus prime a heavy smoker? He has to take heaving breaths and pauses after every 5 words.

 

I hear motu revelation has serious issues from the fans.

 

Why would anybody automatically assume that the events of this cartoon happen in BW? They're 2 completely different stories.

 

A certain subset of fans not dissimilar to a certain subset of TF fans who want everything to be the same as it was in the 1980s.
