Good thing about Scorponok being a drone is that it gives even more excuses to create repaints of Sandstorm and Double Punch.

And of course, Blackarachnia and Airazor having a much more prominent dynamic (and maybe even being shipped) was the best possible outcome.

Sometimes, it makes me wonder… who is their audience. It’s not exactly you and I, nor several others on here.. maybe elementary school? My first cartoons were around 1st and 2nd grade with the Simpsons, Sailormoon, etc.

Is the age group Middle School? If so, TF is out of touch. Millenials? If so, I’m thinking it’s visually ok and everything else is not quite right. Older? This is disappointing.

I didn't even hate BW Megatron that much. As much as I hate how the word is typically used, he's always been a Megatron simp. I always saw his character as being full of bluster. It makes perfect sense that he would cower to Megatron in that situation.

Is more like he exploited Megatron's name and legacy for his own interest.

With the budget of a dollar and two pennies I bet!

I'm guessing Laserbeak must've protected him from being killed. I assume he merely went into stasis lock.

Megatron having a new voice since he was also very different as a character. I can't imagine the gnashing of teeth had this been David Kaye.

Binged this last night... it's the best part of the WFC Trilogy, but that's not really saying a whole lot. Siege was serviceable, Earthrise was inane, and Kingdom was decent. Most of the flaws from Siege were still present in Kingdom, but at least the story managed to get to the damned point most of the time compared to the meandering pointlessness of most of Earthrise which felt like two or three episodes extended to six (The Quintesson and the Mercenaries were ultimately pointless to the overall story as was Scorponok).

For me, the best parts of Kingdom were Dinobot, Airazor, and Blackarachnia. Starscream was interesting too after he had his encounter with the Golden Disk. Arcee was also a surprising standout here as well much like Elita was in Siege.

Primal and BW Megs were just off character for me. Yeah, it's a "new take", but sometimes you can change a character too much. The rest of the Maximals really didn't stand out much except maybe Rhinox who seemed a lot angrier than his typical almost zen portrayal. Most of the secondary Autobots were just that. The scene with the Ark was totally "BUY THIS NEW EXPENSIVE TOY". Tell me why the Ark needed to transform to stop the Nemesis again when the Maximals had already sabotaged its weapons and Starscream actually had taken care of Megatron?

Optimus Prime and Megatron here are still Optimus Prime and Megatron here. I'm not really sure about their character development, to be honest. Megatron's change of heart seemed out of nowhere at the end. Galvatron and Nemesis being servants of Unicron and from a now alternate future was an interesting touch. As was Unicron's line at the end about "starting over".

Honestly, considering the scene with the Ark, I'm surprised Rodimus didn't show up in another "BUY THIS NEW EXPENSIVE TOY" scene ala Sky Lynx.

It's not terrible. It's just not super good either. There's certainly a good story in there though so it's at least watchable compared to Earthrise. Honestly, I think if you were to take some of the ideas from all three WFC shows and re-edit them into a single show getting rid of all of the fluff and "BUY THIS NEW TOY" inclusions... there might be something really good underneath. Though I'd also drop more than half of the voice actors as well. Especially Jake Foushee. His take on Optimus Prime in this was as if someone told him to do an impression of Peter Cullen doing Optimus Prime doing an impression of William Shatner. It's atrocious.

First, it was an army of Reflectors, now an army of Scorponoks.

It is finally all coming together...

So in regards to the whole Airazor and Blackarachnia thing I\'m aware that more modern fans wouldn\'t remember this but Rattrap  did the exact same thing when Rhinox caught him in Beast Wars s2 and as far as I\'m aware nobody jumped to any conclusions based on that the first time it happened. Frankly I assumed that was what they were trying to reference the second time round is well just with different characters, but by all means correct me if you think I\'m wrong or missed something here.

Well, the thing about Rattrap is that he's supposed to be goofy.

Blackarachnia is supposed to be seductive so...

If there’s trope I can commend Kingdom for breaking is for not killing off Optimus Prime, Starscream or Megatron. Either 1 of these three kicks the bucket in almost every series.

Blackarachnia also commented that "the pink one is cute" in an earlier episode, referring to Arcee. Probably part of why people are reading more into it

Megatron was, too put it bluntly, a little submissive bitch. One thing is to acknowledge your namesake for inspiring you to take the mantle in their name, the other is to be a fangirl and do their bidding. The original 96 Megatron may have been suave, charming, and charismatic but he was not a "bitch" to anyone and was ruthless and dominant as he needed to be. It really rubbed me the wrong way seeing him in Kingdom. Like a comment I made previously, the characters are only the "Maximals and Predacons" in name and appearance but they are not the same characters. The VAs don't even try to emulate the original VAs, and I see people defending it saying it is a different interpretation...then why do the VAs put more of an effort with the G1 characters?

I don’t know about that. I noticed WFC stuff started disappearing rather quickly off the shelves after the show premiered.

As someone else said, they feel pain. They get tired.

I didn't say--and nobody has ever said--that it would have to look like human mating, because it's not reproductive, but plugging into each other's systems and stimulating neural circuitry to produce enjoyable sensations that would strengthen the emotional bond between two robots who loved each other doesn't seem at all absurd, even if they're exploiting a set of sensors that has another primary function entirely.

I just finished watching all six episodes and it's just so disjointed even with watching them all at once. This is the same phenomenon I've seen with the IDW comics for years and years, where it feels like stuff in issue N is an asspull that should've been, but clearly wasn't, set up in issue N-1. Or like when I watched Batman vs Superman and couldn't shake the feeling that it was random scenes in a vaguely chronological order with no coherent narrative linking them together. This is just more of that "hey wouldn't it be cool if" and "hey remember when this happened" strung together with a little bit of faux anime magical girl/mystical force bits. The only positive I really have about the entire series is the graphics...but the voices, plot, pacing, etc are disappointment through and through. Eighteen episodes summed up as "we lost the Allspark, then we returned it and it didn't fix everything, the end." Who the hell is the audience?

There are things I didn't like about the first five episodes of MOTU Revelation but at least it was competently produced.

Man, both BW Megs and Primal were just awful casting choices. I dont know how such a great LOOKING show can sound so bad. It feels like a bad fan dub.
