i would say the show is probably going to suck, sadly this reviews are just advertising it doesnt matter if they came from fans websites, remenber they have connections with hasbro sadly that would cause not a fair review

Just watched the new Masters of the Universe. Man, if Hasbro insists on doing a G1 nostalgia show, they need to take notes. So much better on every front.

I gave a fair ish review and stated my issues. I'm in no way associated with Hasbro and have been blunt on all the reviews I do on my site. If you hated Seige and Earthrise, while this is better in the ways those two were bad, this Kingdom is going to upset you on various other levels.

Actually most of the decent TF fanfiction out there is much, much better than WFC.

90% of fanfic, like 90% of everything else...isn't great. Theodore Sturgeon's law and all. But no, you can't blame this on fanfic. For one thing if it had been written by fanfic writers it would have been much, much queerer.

I can't remember who it was, but someone in the discussion thread for the trilogy said the conflict would've been resolved multiple times over by now if these versions of Optimus and Megatron had just kissed already and I can't disagree.

    looks new to me?

Man Tiger Tron has some strong "build a Bear" plushy toy energy.

Like I get that these models were made long before Kingdom's toys were finalised but I'd think they could have guessed or just asked Hasbro if they were going for a "real" tiger or a cute cat vibe.

At the end of the day I can't help but wonder if this is going to make the Beast Wars fans who have ill will towards Beast Machines have a more appreciative viewpoint on it if only because that with what controversial decisions that show took at the very least it did go out of it's way to make sure to build upon and honor what came before and did actually offer some deep content that was done well. Something that sadly the Kingdom portion of Netflix's WFC trilogy series isn't going to be doing for the BW fans along with the G1 fans.

I don't want every new TF show to "build upon and honor" the previous stuff. Because if I want the previous stuff I'll go seek it out. I like having new ideas and reinterpretations, for better or worse. Because that's the only way they're going to keep the line feeling fresh. For example, having the G1 guys crash in to the middle of the Beast Wars is a very interesting spin on the "battle across time" concept. And judging from the trailers the plot point is going to be that the All Spark arrived ahead of them and brought these new bots to life.

I like that idea, and I like that both Galvatron and Nemesis are showing up as Cyberverse toyed with multiple dimensions and now this show seems to be leaning that way too. Which sets us up for a potential "Crisis on Infinite Cybertron" style story that would help pull in characters from all kinds of continuities that we wouldn't normally see interact.

Haha, have those people seen TFP? Four million years of the Worst Divorce Ever.

Apparently Ariel/Elita was also playing in WFC.

I'm glad they retconned the sizes. I hated the maximals and predacons being so much smaller than the G1 bots. I mean rat trap and the bugs were going to be giant regardless.

At least BM kept the og actors, and it had a nice plot. Something WFC seems to be lacking.

But Primal said himself that they're "fwum (their) futuwe." The time travel element is still there, even though the Allspark bringing them to life would've actually streamlined a lot of things in this case.

Good job no-one ever argued that, eh?

It is, however, entirely possible to judge the execution of something on objective standards.

    Case in point:
Christ on a bike, did I ever pick the wrong day to log back in here... just... wow...

(edited to fix spelling, since I'm incompetent)
