Don't know the price for America, but it's $99 AUD and comes with 30 games.

    Launches in November.

Not a bad lineup of classic games, the only one I could do without is Final Fantasy, mostly because I'm not a fan of the 8-bit iteration, the sound was way too grating on the NES version and the re-makes are much better balanced in my eyes.

Might get this though, it'll mean having a ton of classic games without having to pick them up on virtual console and as a bonus I won't have to blow in the cartridges to make them work like with my vintage Nintendo. ;)

Consider it??? If it ONLY had the Marios and the Zeldas it would be a bargain. 25 more games? Yeah. This is bought day 1, no question whatsoever.

That's a pretty badass little library for anyone who doesn't have those games already, especially with HDMI support. I'll be skipping it, since I've already got an HDMI-supportive NES and most of those games. But it's not a bad price for what's included!

However, if it had a cartridge adapter or supported buying and downloading games, it could be HUGE.

I will get this for collection reasons but I don't think it will replace my original console.

Day 1 buy for me. Even if it just sits on a shelf with all my Nintendo Figuarts.

Also it looks like the controller is playable on wii and Wii U VC games! It's compatible with the wii and Wii U!

Neat. Will be get snes, n64 or gamecube ones in the future?

I'd laugh at this outsells the Wii-U at least in units moved in over its first month.

What I really hope is that someone captures the exact palette this thing uses and it gets included in a future Hi-Def NES firmware upgrade. Outside of the Virtual Console or the Playchoice-10, we don't have a canonical RGB/YPbPr color scheme for the NES, and its original NTSC palette literally isn't possible in RGB or YPbPr color spaces.

my first experience with grinding was this game. I spent what seems like weeks grinding to save up for some incredibly powerful shield at a lower level. it was awesome.

I'm not so sure about N64 and GameCube, since those are relatively recent in the grand scheme of things. Plus, I think there's a lot more love and fond memories for the NES, which is why they went with it.

Now, is that to say I wouldn't want a SNES Classic? Not at all. If they can get the Super Star Wars trilogy on it, you've got my dollar.

It's cool, but I never cared for this system since it came out ten years before I was born. Now if they make a mini N64, count me in!

Yeah, count me in for a Mini N64 also. And a Mini SNES as well!

Or would that be a Mini-Mini SNES, since there was already a mini-redesign of the SNES?

Yeah, I never knew this is what I wanted, but I wants it bad. The fact that they made it a palm-sized NES... I love it.

And I will flip my shit if they ever do the same with the SNES.
