This is my 2nd chapter in my journey of making a "perfect" gang of Constructicons, in modern-looking vehicle modes. 1st chapter is Scavenger, here: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/448291-neo-constructicon-scavenger.html With LEGO, I have almost full (creative) control of how I want my creation to be... within the limits of the parts I own. For each and every LEGOformers I made.. I try not to be repetitive, because I just looooooooove the challenge . So when I'm done with scavenger and his "treads as legs"... I've decided to make Bonecrusher the opposite way: The Bulldozer treads end up as his shoulder. I was kinda inspired, too by the broad shoulder of one vain Decepticon from Transformers rime series. More photos/writeups can be read and see here: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/284614 And complete gallery of photos is hosted here (pending moderators approval): http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=482256
I am INSANELY jealous of your skill, and i commend you on your magnificent work! i would rather own these guys any day over the "Hercules" ones coming out! I've never been overly fond of the constructicons as some people, but both of these totally change my mind. and even if you weren't planning on combining into Devs, your constructicons look to be just about as destructive solo!
Uhmm...actually I'm planning on merging the six. Last year I foolishly attempted to "prioritize" Devastator mode and made 2 halfbaked LEGO Long Haul and Hook. I halted those 2 WIP till now. I restarted by focusing on individual modes firsts, so finally Scavenger and Bonecrusher are born. Same like other 3rd parties toy producers out there, I'm trying to make a point (hey Hasbro.. look here!) that fully articulated combiners members are possible, and even the combiner himself will be adequately posable.
Love your work; too cool for words and so much better than what Hasbro has come up with. You know, there's a fellow on ebay who sells custom lego sets that he's designed of Batman vehicles...you might consider contacting him and seeing if you two could work together...Selling your lego-tf designs as actual sets to build could be an interesting venture. Oh, and everyone on this board would buy'em too!
awesome building skills. your constructicons make Kreo look like duplo blocks! Plus you don't see a lot of g2 custom Devys (I know there aren't a lot of green Lego building sets. anyway keep it up looking forward to seeing how you tackle longhaul and hook.
Suprised this thread got bumped up to the top of the list again.Anyway.. Long Haul was posted just last week http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/488513-lego-neo-constructicons-long-haul.html
