I just bought an Ice Kirby Nendoroid from a local comic book shop, and after opening it up, realized it is missing the small clear piece that connects the main figure to the adjustable stand part that connects to the base.

I will try to inquire about the missing piece to [email protected]
But if I can't get the part, then that really sucks! :(

Do all Nendoroids use the same display stand parts?

For the most part they are the same, a few have different size pegs like the kancolle ones. The missing connector actually seems to be a fairly common problem with the ice kirby, ive heard a few people have the same issue.

Just pre-ordered Lina Inverse. I haven't been into Nendoroid prior to this, but I like what they did with it and I want to support Slayers.

I'm so fucking pissed off at BBTS for not offering collector boxes on this that I ordered four somewhere else and sent them a screenshot.

I was under the impression collector boxes were just ones they took more care not to damage?

More or less. They set aside the best ones and pack them separately. I collect/collected MISB doubles on a fair amount of lines and have been doing so since they started offering the service back around 2005. Walmart's stockers in particular were beasts back then. And this was back when distribution wasn't so fucking clogged with #wheresrey and soap bottles and whatever other hot garbage that you could eventually find a box that wasn't trashed if you tried hard enough. So that was a huge plus in BBTS's favor and a large part of why they took such a huge chunk of my business. It's infuriating that it's become almost random whether they'll offer it or not. It's an easy $2-$8 depending on the product size. At a time when they have people crying about what a ripoff they are for daring to charge for shipping and not controlling Hasbro's warped embargo policies, I can't believe they're turning down money from reliable customers like this. I bought fucking $190 worth of Nendos somewhere else because BBTS wouldn't let me spend $125 with them. That $65 difference would've gone to BBTS too, either for more Linas or something else, but now it's gone because I have to play Russian roulette with a Japanese shop and international shipping.

For what it's worth, I get my figs from Japan almost exclusively, and there's been an issue with product packaging MAYBE once. Where do you order from?

I order from BBTS and Anime Export almost exclusively and never had a problem with either. I just like that BBTS takes the guesswork out of it.

(Used to order from HLJ occasionally for group orders. They eventually struck out though. Strike one was forcing me to use PayPal. Strike two was shorting me on those Ranmas. Strike three was forcing a PayPal billing agreement. Before then, though, their packing is not as thorough as BBTS and AE.)

Anybody else interested in collector condition boxes, BBTS has heard me and is now offering Lina with that option! I ordered mine as soon as it went up so it looks like I'll have a few from AE to pawn off whenever they're released (can't help it, they're a prepayment shop and I didn't want to miss the preorder window).

I have... 9? Nine Nendoroids, I believe in my collection. With, like, 3 more on preorder... My name is Chainlink and I have an addiction.

Anywho, one of the Nendos I have is Mio Sakamoto from Strike Witches, and being a Witches fan, I'm half tempted to hunt down the rest of the team. But that's just... A lot of money. And a lot of figures. That's 10 more Nendoroids to complete the cast. I've been browsing Amazon, eBay, and some other sites trying to find them all for reasonable deals, and actually found some decent prices. But I don't know, man.
The other big issue is that if I start, I'll need to finish. I'm currently fine with just Sakamoto since she's the leader, but once I start filling out the cast, I'll need to complete it. It's all or nothing.

Somebody talk some sense into me. lol.

Wow, I only realized now that they actually got around to completing the cast. But yeah, collecting them all would be both time consuming and expensive. On top of that, the general quality and style may differ greatly since they've been put out over such a huge span of time. I don't think they have matching stands even.

Heh. Too late. I spent way too much money. Got lucky and found some new, in-package eBay listings for semi-reasonable prices.
Soon I'll be the proud owner of the Strike Witches cast in Nendoroid.
I'm aware of the mold differences, but I can live with it. Judging by pictures, the general designs look the same, but I can't speak of plastic quality. I do know that the stands are different as the older figures didn't have the hole in the back for the stand.

Either way, I'm pretty excited to be getting them. It'll be my way of celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Strike Witches.

    Here's Lynette.
So far I've been happy with my purchase. It'll be nice having the full cast on the shelf. Right now, I've messed with about half of them. Gotta pace myself.
I'll be sure to take a pic when they're all together, though.
