Put me on the list for wanting a black Nemesis. I have enough red and blue primes, he needs someone to battle the will hopefully not continue to mirror him. I love the storyline. So much drama for a cartoon.
Great. Nice work, Hasbro. You're really gonna milk me for another voyager OP toy. It's either you make the proper repaint, which almost always never happens, or I make the repaint. Hasbro FE Prime is still solid red, despite Takara FE Prime having a slightly darker tone of red. It's either a repaint in faded red, or some expert drybrushing (which I ain't good at) to have both the faded red and dirty/weathered looks. I am a TFP Nemesis Prime fan, and I send this message to the Radicons in this forum: repaint, please?
No one seems to be asking the all-important question; how do they end up getting the real Optimus out of the way long enough to make this obvious impostor seem like the real deal? Obviously MECH seems the likely culprit, but if they grab OP via electric taser like they they every other Transformer they've come across, whose to say they don't proceed to dismantle him for spare parts, and/or take his t-cog and other important parts before he gets away? And perhaps more importantly, when the heck are the Transformers en masse going to consider MECH the viable threat that they are and stop fighting one another long enough to help eliminate their common foe?? Sorry to break bad on you here for a sec, but would you just stop? They're a toy company and they make toys for chrissakes. Personally I applaud them for bringing in a beloved alternate universe version of this character as part of their ongoing storyline. A toy is secondary at this point, and if you don't want the toy... well... don't buy it when/if it comes out.
Well I think its a suit with a mech pilot in it. Possibly cobbled together from Breakdown, Starscreams T-Cog, and the prototype from "operation bumblebee" which loosely resembled Optimus Prime's skeleton chassis. Its awesome and seems more like a modern spin on G1 "Prime Problem" with two similar Optimus Primes than a direct Nemesis Prime. Though you could argue its not really that new of an idea. Even the oldest superhero comics had doppleganger villains of the heroes trying to cripple the heroes reputation and make the Law turn against the crime fighters. Still its a great namedrop, that holds a lot of weight in the fandom. Beyond that its a dramatic presentation of an antagonist. Though when the real Optimus Prime wakes up. Its going to be a brutal end to Nemesis prime.
I have no problem with the color scheme, in fact it makes it easier to buy the Cyberverse repaint; Also when they make next years Prime I can use PRID Prime as Nemesis, heck I'll just leave him unmodified.
That is my guess, that he'll eventually become something that's not a barely-different repaint of Prime.
Who knew Hasbro could ruin an entire toy line. F'ing faded Prime = Nemesis Prime. LOL Those of you that like this idea are tools. If thats the case, FE Prime must have been "Optimus Prime" and the faded, no paint app Prime on the shelves now must be Nemesis. I dont own a single toy from this line... and its safe to say I wont.
