hi does anyone know what is the ebay policy for seller that purchase insurance? i recceived a dmage item but seller do not want to claim it i need the exatc word so that the seller pay for his smistake thanks
If you received a damaged item and the seller doesn't want to deal with, you can just note that in the feedback you leave. You might want to file a complaint with eBay as well stating the item you received is not in the same condition as the one you bidded on.
How do you know the seller insured the item? Ask for a copy of the ticket (serial number included) USPS provides the purchaser of insurance.
thank for the help but it doesn't solve the problem here is my situation i received a damage item but the seller lie to me that he did a claim, i call myself to check if a claim was open, nothing was done so i was wondering what is the seller responsability face to this situation he did not do anything for the claim
Then perhaps you should go to the Ebay help section? http://pages.ebay.com/help/tp/isgw-buyer-protection-steps.html
Did the seller offer a return policy? I received a damaged item once, emailed pictures to the seller, and the seller gave me a full refund. They even let me keep the item ( I was able to repair it). That's probably a best-case scenario though. I've never had to make an insurance claim with USPS, so I can't tell you how that works. I'd try working it out with the seller first, and see where it goes from there.
i tried, she said she went to do the claim i thrusted her, but then i said , man this is way to long... so i called and usps said that no claim was open i was $%^%, i wrote to her she got mad and said some stupid stuff, so we just lost patient, i open a claim still looking for that ebay policy- when insurance is purchase, it is seller reponsability to do the claim in a timely manner, which she did not...
