Ahout a week or couple days ago, my mother announces that my little brother had picked up a germ, and we were to steer clear of him (she originally was going to keep him up in his room and feed him on disposable dishes and stuff, but she totally forgot about it. I have the unfortunate luck of living on the same floor with him.) least we wanted to get sick as well. So far, it worked like a charm, my bro stayed up in his room and we went about our business, avoiding him like the plague he currently was.

So anyhow, about a day later, our Mom informs us that he was complaing of a head and earache, and yesterday my Dad was suffering from the exact same thing. And, wouldn't know it, I think I might've caught the germ as well (I also, burned my throat drinking hot chroacolate, so misery is my company right now). I got lower back pain, a headache, and mild earache. I suspect its the flu, but I've never had it like this before...

    Am I right? :throw

It could be the flu yes,if you think you got it worse than before, the flu is apparantly more hardcore than in many years (at least in Europe).
Also if your symptoms don`t ease within few days,it`s never wrong to see your doctor regarding throat/airway infections.Don`t mean to alarm you, just experience talking.

Could be. Could be something else.

But what difference does it make? If you're not going to go to a doctor, the symptoms get treated the same no matter what the cause.

OMG SARS, what a great disease that was. Did it ever go away? You never hear about it anymore.

Now that it was brought up, I was kinda wondering the same thing, myself...

Your best bet is to see a doctor and don't rely on people from the internetz to be a doctor for you. I'm almost sure Squirrelcar said something about a diagnosis without an examination isn't very accurate (whether he posted it or it was over PM is beyond me, but I know it was brought up before)

    Yes, yes it was.

If you actually do have bird flu, it'll be even funnier.

If you actually die, it might not be so funny.

What about the Hantavirus? Is he going to explosively and bloodily poo his guts out from inhaling rodent feces?

Chocolate sprinkles on your ice cream cone aren't supposed to be tangy!!

I've heard of this... clearly you're suffering a post-traumatic stress related episode that has led to the development of an accute case cranial insanitosis.

    Simply put, you've gone bonkers.

'Tis offiical, I've got the flu bug (and I want to strangle my brother so badly right now) and I've only spent an entire day in bed, but it feels like forever.

Oh well, I've got movies to keep me company.
